Simple Do-It-Yourself loading and login sc...

There's no need to put up with the same old boring/annoying stuff at startup, but there's no need to wait for someone else to fix it for you either.
Remove the loading videos:
This is the easiest of all. Simply create an empty folder: ...\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.5\gui\flash\video
No video means no video. Duh.
That row of little award images in the late stage of loading is one PNG. Create a transparent 882x51 pixel PNG image, add your choice of text or imagery, save as ...\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.5\gui\maps\loading_award.png

Customize the login screen:
For the tank backgrounds there are 12 images, again PNGs. They are displayed randomly, I think. The originals are 1920x1200 pixels, with black background. They are named "back_1_without_sparks.png," "back_2_without_sparks.png," and so on. My personal test image has a transparent background, so obviously anything goes. Allow some boring space in the center for the WG logo and login area. The pics go in the ...\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.5\gui\maps\login folder.
If you want to replace only certain ones, uncompress the ...\World_of_Tanks\res\packages\gui.pkg file into a folder somewhere so you can pick which images to replace. Any that you don't make new ones for will stay the same.

The quality is much better than it looks here; I couldn't take a screenshot while the game was loading, so I had to use my camera.
7-Zip is handy for opening WoT package files and extracting stuff. I used The GIMP to create the new images.

LOL that's my "nose roll" -- I find it more convenient than a box of tissues. You're lucky there isn't a reflection of ME glaring back!

FYI, the loading_award.png does not have to be exactly 882x51 pixels. I had to make mine 882x55 to get it all in, and it worked excellent.
Thanks for the great work.

For the login screens, which are randomly selected, you can have as many custom pics as you want (I have over 200) as long you keep incrementing that number in the file name.
