Because BM time keeps changing, and we can't even be sure if it will be available at published time, here is simple trick on how to purchase Black Market goodies from (or rather via) phone.

It worked for last BM, works now, and will keep working because its universal.

Requirements:

- Windows PC with WoT (might work on MacOS and Linux, but I have not tested)

- Internet connection (duuh!), even measly 3G is enough to click in Black Market

- Phone (Android or iSomething), tablet, or another PC. Heck, it will even work from Raspberry PI.

- ability to breathe without written explicit orders because I expect you to be able to click "next" in installer on your own :)

1. Install VNC Server of choice on PC with WoT. I suggest RealVNC because it does not suck and its free version is enough for our needs.

2. Install matching VNC Viewer on phone. Again I suggest RealVNC because it "just works".

3. Test connection. If you create account (team) in RealVNC and login it on both PC and Phone your PC will be automatically available.

4. Switch game to Windowed or Windowed-borderless. Either in options or with ALT-Enter. VNC's often have issues with full screen games.

5. Check how much time until Black Market, if time zones hate you just check CT (Central Time) in this handy website: https://time.is/CT

6. Set alarm to few minutes before Black Market fails again.

7. Leave PC on with game launched and logged in and go to work/brothel/kindergarten.

8. To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

How to make sure Windows PC will not sleep/hibernate?

You can follow one of numerous overly complicated guides scattered over the net, or you can follow one simple trick.

Play anything on loop in Windows Media Player. It prevents sleep/hibernation by default, its built-in, and easy to control.

If you have no mp3 or movie handy, just search for *.wav and you'll find plenty of them in Windows directory.

If you are on Windows 10, and have not yet disabled automatic bad ideas, you might want to "Change active hours".

Final effect:

Thanks for the info, OP!  I'm going to try it as I will be out of town away from my PC for over half the Black Market...

If this works, I will love you long time. I work all this weekend and the new time change kills me completely.

Good tip. Luckily I have multiple remote apps since I have to remote in to my work and home frequently.

Which, aside of RealVNC, can you recommend?

I used teamviewer.

Just install on computer and phone.

On computer it will give you some numbers and password.

On phone just put in those numbers.....simple..

Easier way, just hit Windows key and type in "sleep" click PC power/sleep settings, change from X minutes to "Never" and your pc won't automatically turn off :honoring:

They are. Not single use per se but rather "one time" passwords. It remains the same until you close and restart TeamViewer application and/or restart Windows.

There is an option to set up unattended access with permanent password. You can also create free account (linked to your email), add your trusted devices to it (home PC, smartphone) and use it to gain access without password.

Pretty much same as RealVNC, good to know. Thanks.

I was out of date in VNC's utilities until Black Market created need for them :D

It might have issues with full screen game... hmm. Better add windowing as one more step in guide :]

Big thumb up.

I tried it and find it extremely easy and lightweight.  The control is more than good enough to buy etc.  I wish that I knew it could be this easy.  I missed out Lansen C

Bumping this as a PSA in hopeful anticipation that the 2021 BM is imminent.

This year most people will probably "work" from home.

yep, got it to work the first time wasn't that bad at all. will see how it works when I'm not home and just one thing that I had to figure out was when I was on the phone and was basically clicking on the taskbar for WOT to up I thought it would up like one the computer, what happened was it opened but I had to scroll left to see the WOT screen other than that wasn't too hard to get working
