Excellent guide  :Smile_honoring:  but you've made me think of a question and as I'm at work I can't try it out myself lol.

You said if you're sniping someone from a distance then it might be better to use manual aim as a human can probably anticipate a lead on a target better however can I ask what does the auto-aim do please?

I always use auto-aim but lets say I'm stationary and I'm zoomed in looking through my barrel telescopic sight at a stationary target. Is there any difference between me using manual or auto-aim?

I hope I answered your question in that message.

Something else to watch for is that slight bullet drop you'll experience over great distances.

My installation is almost complete. I must say I am looking forward to playing and testing World of Tanks. Although, I do have some preliminary concerns with aspects such as Auto-Aim and Enemy Health Bar, which make the game seem to have more of an arcade feel as opposed to simulation.

As long as the game play is based on teamwork, viable war field tactics and pilot skill this will be a very competitive online venue for teams and individuals. There is great potential for league play.

ummmm....ohhhh jeeeez....hmmm....uhhhh.  I guess you'll have to wait and see what it's like?
I will say that you're going to yell at the people in light tanks who just rush out to great the hail of enemy gunfire with open arms. :Smile-hiding:

*Cough*A-20*Cough*

I went from Pz III to A-20, so I didn't do a lot of that, but I swear, the only way to get an A-20 to not perform a suicide run is to track him at the start of the battle (don't worry, I've never don't this to a friendly, I was just making a point).

Cheers,

Logan

Thanks for a great guide.

I just start playing and just dive in and tried clicking here and there and dive into battle just to get the feel of the game.
Got clobbered pretty hard.

After reading your guide, it start to make sense.

I guess the best way to play and understand the game is to play first then come back and read the guide.

Keep it up man.

I created this guide as an introduction into what you'll experience your first time out in the great world that is full of tanks so I might suggest having new people read this first and then go into a battle.  General sequence of which this guide fits:  Start game, log in, look around, get lost, read guide, go back into game, say "Ohhhh!", start a battle. :P

Yep, that's what I did.

Install, login, click here there, got lost here there, and start a battle, got clobbered, then go back and read some more and start all over again.

After 2 days straight, things start to make sense.

....thanks for the guide.
