I play this tank like a support flank and spank tank. Hull down when I can, deal some savage damage with the 90, then when things start getting too hot, you've got the speed and manoeuvring to get outta there. Sure, it's straight line speed only, but there's plenty of it. The 90 packs a punch, and the ability to rapidly assist any flank that's strain make this such a fun and awesome tank to play with. I'm taking my time to get through this fun tank.

Now that my crew is near 100% they are at 98% right now the tank has come around. Still have to run fring tier 10 heavys. Haven't been able to even track one yet but when I feel the heavys are pushing through I put on a full retreat and run to the next line of defence. A great help getting my tank more deadly was the ground depression info that was given out. I find myself looking for those hills now to suprise the enemy and put the hurt on them before they can get a good shot in on me. I stuck with the 90 mm and so far the better my crew has gotten the more I'm becoming a fan of it.

lost my first 8 battles in it, stock gun is just terrible for its tier, but the 90 is sweet, and while I do get tier 10 battles often, lately I have been top of the list
overall it takes a different playing style than the e8, but i find it equally fun

Yes, who would want this tank? Look at what it does in a Tier IV - VII match on Province:
Victory!
Battle: Province Monday, April 02, 2012 8:52:26 PM
Vehicle: T20
Experience received: 1,714 (x2 for the first victory each day)
Credits received: 19,995
Battle Achievements: Mastery Badge: II Class, Boelter's Medal, Top Gun
Seriously though, the T20 is my favorite tank. Yes Wargaming dropped the credits earnings by 10% but I said "screw that" and I just decided to play it 10% more than I did before the 7.2 econmoic recession. I have the Pershing, and while that tank fits my playstyle even better, the T20 gets better matchmaking (because the mm likes to put 1 VIII heavy and 3 VIII mediums up against 5 VIII heavies on the enemy team whenever I play my Pershing).
The T20 is a great little tank.

My last battle in it last night before I left for the shop I scored 3 kills, an IS, a French heavy, and a Hummel, all solo, as well as damaging a Lorraine and a VK3601. I think I scored 2352 experience on the double, and maybe 27,750 credits, as well as Ace Tanker. That made the T20 elite. I spent 11,100 on repairs as the IS battle really hurt, I barely survived, to go on and kill the other two.

I had a great 1st couple of games, even though they were losses. Then I struggled for 20 games or so in the T20. After that, it hit its stride, it's been winning around 52-55% ever since, and I'm a 49% player.
The one real complaint I have on the T20 is the rate of fire on the 90MM. The 90MM on the T20 is a full 1.5 seconds slower than on the tier VI M6 heavy tank. I suppose, though, that if I had a 6.5 second reload time, my T20 might be a little over powered in many games.
I did screw up the other day. When I was selecting additional skills, I clicked the wrong one on Sgt. Collins, and had to reset it. It's taking him forever to get back to 100%. I think he's still accumulating experience on the additional skill, but the others have gone to 40% on the 1st skill already.

I really like the t20 so far. It can do a little bit of everything. I have found it to be excellent at late game scouting. Right nowit is my favorite tank. Plus 2 top guns out of about 40 matches so far.

I really enjoyed the E8 and still hold onto mine for fun. When I unlocked the T20 I was looking past it to the Pershing and not looking forward to the T20 at all. The first dozen games pretty much confirmed it was nothing special and I left it alone for a while only grinding the daily double. Now that I have fully upgraded it and my crew sits at about 95% I really like this tank. I had to adjust from the rapid fire of the E8, I could no longer circle a tank and smack the crap out of it machine gun style. However I have adjusted and now peek out and harass, if I can make the enemy miss or lose interst in me this tank excels at capitalising on brief moments to fire or dash from cover.
The 90mm is sort of like how the short 88mm should be. The extra pen it has is just enough to pen if you do your part and the damage is high enough to make each shot count. Compared to the long 75mm on my Panther where I needed to make two shots to equal the damage on the 90mm, it really helps in a brawl situation. The slow, for a medium, rate of fire is a pain at times and something I had to adjust to at first. But once you learn to time your attacks you can usually land 2 shots to the enemy tanks 1 and then take off or hide.
I think most people come from the M4 and E8 loving the mobility and rate of fire advantage to find it hard to adjust to the T20. At tier 7 it needs have firepower near by to help but with the ability to quickly peek out and hull down you can keep targets lit up for your teamates and land the odd shot to harass the enemy, keeping them distracted.
TLDR, T20 was crap to start, now I really like what it can do.

I'm just hoping for less no-damage crits when I get the 90mm
More than half my hits must be those with the M1A2

T20 is far and away the best T7 medium. I absolutely adore this tank and am extremely sad that my grind to the Pershing is nearly over. Of course, I'm keeping the tank but the grind memories just went by so quick!
Despite the fact that this tank is FAR out-performing my similar tier tanks, its win rate isn't what it used to be. Granted, I'm still not yet at 100 battles, but I used to have over a 70% win rate in this monster. Now it seems like no matter how well I do, some of my teams are just destined to lose. And by some, I mean at least an additional 10% of my teams have started losing despite there being almost no change to my average damage or average experience.
Oh well.

Same here, my win % over the past week has started to drop from 60% in this tank down into the low 50%'s. I keep getting matches with teams that fail to work together. I'm fast approaching the Pershing and hope it's as fun as the T20, the extra DPM should increase my ability to annoy heavies.

I am finding this with all my tanks, not just the T20. My win percent was never close to 70% in it, but I am pretty average and am at 53% currently, down from 55% in the T20, overall is 51% and dropping. I still love the T20 and I am glad I kept it. I am playing the T25 AT and T25/2 now and the T20 seems to have helped me pick up on those pretty quickly.

I made a video out of this match if anyone cares to watch it.
Disclaimer: I do not recommend you play the T20 like this

I unlocked the 90 barrel today and it is a complete fail for this tank. The reload speed for this barrel isn't much better than the 105 its got a few seconds on it but only a few. Second problem is I was playing on a few public mm and got stuck up against a tier 10 heavy and after about 15 rounds into the track, turret, side armour, hell even a couple rounds into the engine I had 2 penetrated hits for 0% damage. At least the 105 was able to hold it up for a few minutes. The t20 is nothing more than a support tank. U need to surround yourself with others. U can't run in gun in this thing the reload isn't fast enough If u want that you will have to arm yourself with the a2 and we know how much pen u will get with that against higher tiers. Just my opinion got a long grind to get to the next tier.
I really, really hope this is a troll and not someone actually saying they use the 105 on a t20.
Never, never, never, never use the 105 on a t20. If you do, you make your tank worthless, you short your team a good tank, and may god have mercy on your useless soul.
