I've installed many o mods before. Yours is the first with a ton of files, and I read the whole topic, am I right to say we just copy and paste them in the mod folder, being that we have already copied the entire original audio folder. So there will be about 10 extra files than the original. Am I right?

EDIT: I put them into the right folder, sounds awesome. I notice however some times, the sound will be a little lower or a little higher depending if its past like 50%. No biggie. I guess throwing the vehicle sounds all into that one folder worked just fine. Sounds so real and lifelike, if I could give you rep I would. Continue these mods please. They are fantastic. Cheers to you bro! :Smile_honoring:

Do it exactly as the Installation Instructions direct...use "0.7.3" (or "0.7.4" when that update occurs) instead of "0.7.2".

Hey Nobleplatoon i have been using your mod for awhile and it has been great. However, I believe something has changed since the release of 7.4. I did everything...I updated everything to the 7.4 folder. However now when there are a bunch of tanks around and different sounds it seems like the sound wavers in and out sometimes, its not consistent any more. Its not a huge change but it was enough for me notice it and put in a forum post.

I have not noticed any problem with sounds. Has anyone else found any issue?

Make sure you update your install instructions. Most people are just copying the audio file to res mods, and then overwriting and leaving the engine fsb's that aren't used. This SHOULDN'T cause a problem, but on an EU post I noted someone said it was causing a problem, and deleting the unused sound banks helped. So make sure the poster isn't leaving in the other engine fsb's as well as yours.

I gotta command your effords here, your engine sounds actually sound like real engine except, and maybe this is just me, they sound like the wrong engines, or maybe the engines sound different then I think they do? While I really like the track sounds I find that all the tanks sound like big mopeds, its missing that throaty deep diesel sound and that diesl growl when you hit the gas.

But thats just my two cents, keep up the good work!

have you tried the alisson pack? that one has the deep diesel sound i think you are looking for... the radial sounds more like a race car engine to me

Allison pack a2 works fine in 7.4 :)

Any thought on adding more engine sound, Mr. NooblePlatoon? :)

Old bump, I know, but would it be possible to get a version of the mod pack that makes it so all tanks, except those that use the maybach, use the sound that the m5 stuart uses?

Sorry, but I am not willing to do such a specialized request.

Ah, that's fine, I'll make do with what you've already made then :Smile-playing:

Could you give us a quick tutorial on how you're doing these sounds? The community can carry on with it if someone else finds the time.

I'm loving the engine sounds themselves, the problem, I think, is in volume. Rather than being quieter in sniper mode it should be far louder - one British tanker I read of said that even low flying aircraft couldn't be heard over the engine. The effect was of a silent movie, because the engine drowned out everything.

So in sniper mode, I don't know if it would be possible, but the ideal for me would be to only hear the engine, the crew, the tracks, and the gun. I would also say that the guns are too quiet in comparison to the engines, but that's adjustable by the user, so no need to change that.

This mod took many hundreds of hours, no exaggeration. There is no such thing as a "quick tutorial." Also, any sound a modder would want to use much be tailor-fit to make it sound right. No way to make a generic tutorial for something like that.

I DO put mine in the res/audio folder, using JSGME. If you want to put it directly in res/audio, I recommend you rename the original vehicles.fev to something like vehicles1.fev before you put my mod in there. This way you can go back to the original, if you should so desire in the future. It is not necessary to rename any of the fsb files, since none of them are named vehicles.fsb. They are all named by their respective component sound.

There have been some significant changes in 0.8.0 that make this mod unusable. I will work on a solution, but do not use until I find it.

Hope it's an easy fix, I really like this engine pack.
