I'm sorry, can someone sum up this thread? I've been busy pulling stray capital letters out of the walls after my monitor spalled from the All Caps hit, and haven't been able follow along. Wow, how did that "J" get all the way over to the futon? Sheesh.
Why is this a trend ?

You have more matches in your 59 than any other tank you own.
You're experiencing *causality*, not a conspiracy. They might begin and end with the same letter, but they mean completely different things.

i am a Type 59 owner whom has also spent (a large amount of $) on this game between 3 accounts for my family. I am FURIOUS that you have allowed complaints from the free playing public who do not own or know how to operate a 59, drive you into submission to the point that you roll over at the EXPENSE OF THE 59 OWNERS, nerf it to the point of uselessness.

Ammo racks have been in Type-59 from day one. People are probably just now finally learning that you shoot the right hull or turret for free 50% chance of ammo rack.

bottom line, this tank is OP at 52.X% global win rate.
This got me thinking. I was a lot better on my T-44, almost the same tank. So why would the 59 stay above the 44s win % if the 44 is a better tank (It really is in speed/maneuverability/gun only armor was very slightly worse.)
I believe the answer is the type doesn't have that turn over in the players (literally the tank can not be gotten atm.) Those 59ers are getting better and are in a bubble by themselves in stats atm.
was just rambling there.

The T-59 is a tank that starts elite and never has to suffer through upgrades and therefore should have a higher win rate... but it does not. If it were OP it and because it starts elite it should have a significantly higher win rate... but it don't. Now considering the above no reasonable person could conclude the T-59 is OP, The fact that the T-59 starts elite and its numbers are not much better in comparison to all tier 8 mediums indicates the T-59 is the worst tier 8 medium.
The T-59 was never OP it just had better matchmaking which it now does not.

I've got 800 plus games on my type 59 and it is equipped with a wet ammo rack...I don't know if I've ever been ammo racked in that thing...just take a break from it, clearly you have reached a tipping point with patience for this game.
#51 Posted Mar 20 2012 - 21:30
Four ammo racks on my 59 in 400+ games. Knowing where it is isn't the same as being able to hit it, fortunately.
I don't think the 59 is as bad as it's supposed to be, honestly.

No... The T-59 got better matchmaking.
Since the matchmaking change the T-59s win rate is worst than the T-44s.

I don't think the 44 is better than the 59, overall. They are very squishy. P II is tougher but not sufficiently so, and Pershings are also squishy...

I dont own one but:
1: if you get ARed a lot, get a WAR.
2: T59 got its MM moved up a tier because it was putting hordes of them into matches where most tanks couldnt harm them due to the 59s front armor, speed, and decent firepower.
3: flank it, kill it.
4: reduce font size and de-capitalize that block of text.
premiums are all slightly weaker than thier counterparts.
KV5 gets a huge frontal weakspot and the 107 off the KV2.
T59 gets a large, weak AR.
get over it, you still make money sui-charging the enemy right off the start.

That's what I get for not looking up the stats my self. Oh well.
#56 Posted Mar 20 2012 - 21:49
No offense, but OP stats with the tank are pretty poor. Clearly it's him not performing well in the tank and not the tank itself.
Peace.

Just thought I'd mention that my ISU w/BL10 (and all my tanks, actually) bounce shots a lot more vs the Type 59 than vs any of the other of these listed (despite aiming for weakspots when able). I expect that is a good portion of why it feels OP to a lot of opponents.

It's kind of hard to get ammo racked if you don't have them pointed at the enemy.
As much fun as I have detonating other peoples 59s, the only time I ever died in one hit was when I caught a shell from Tier 7 arty. Not bad considering I do not have a WAR.
#59 Posted Mar 20 2012 - 23:06
This post could be in danger of being closed, but as the community has pinpointed the ammo rack issued, I will just move it to its correct location.
Also, thanks to all the people who have posted thus far; lots of good, clean, constructive feedback for the OP, if he or anyone else chooses to read and heed them.
