Himmelsdorf definitely doesn't deserve to win; something like Ruinberg is much better, if for no other reason than because it doesn't punish arty players.
I have one arty, which I play once a day for the double xp, and it's very frustrating to get Himmelsdorf. There should be some algorithm in the MM to ensure you are less likely to get it when playing arty. I am sure there are skilled arty players that do well on Himmelsdorf, but I definitely don't, and much prefer maps that offer a great variety of tactical options for all kinds of players/vehicles.
Sidenote: it was sad/amusing when one of the 'design a map' contest finalists didn't do as well as they could have because they designed an urban map supposedly without considering arty placement, which seems to be precisely what the devs did with Himmelsdorf. You might retort that there is the railway line and arty players routinely position themselves on either end, but that's boring: the arty is predictably in the same place during each match and the thing they are most likely to be able to hit is... each other. It's much better when you are never going to be totally sure where the arty has placed itself until someone scouts it (barring tracer tracked counter-battery).

Congrats to the winners.
I am curious if anyone got it perfect. I predicted one wrong, and all the others right. I guessed Mines over Abbey, which cost me another one in the semi-finals when Abbey advanced. But I'm pretty pleased with myself guessing the brackets well enough that I went 13 out of 15 winners.

I think mine is ensk or live oaks.Ensk has places to hide and shoot while live oaks has lots of room!
