Some clarifications on the game

Ok i have heard several different answers for this but would like to know from a dev or someone from the inside. I have a few questions,
#1 People always say take the flag you get more XP/credit points.
From what I thought you get more XP points and credits by doing damage to the other team so if there are 3 players on my team and 2 on theirs and we culd cap or kill em what is more profittable XP wise and credits.
#2 Only the first 3 people on a cap get XP and credits and effect how fast the cap goes.
Also from what I thought i have read somewhere only the first 3 people effect the cap timer. So if 3 people are already capping I usually go after more tanks but I get yelled at sometimes. Does having more tanks cap faster?
#3 What is the maximum tank garage slots you can have?
Thats all for now I'm sure i'll come up with more later but I would like to know for sure about these questions

Those who cap get a bonus for capping, if you are in the cap circle.
Individual players get xp/credits for doing damage. The more damage you do the more xp/credits you get. Depending on whether you know where the hostile players are and how long it would take you to get to them, and whether you can be sure that you can actually kill them, it may or may not be worth to kill. Personally, if I am at the cap, then I cap, I don't care what anyone else says.
Once you have three tanks in the cap you can't cap any faster, but every tank in the cap will get bonus cap XP based on how much time they spend in it.
#3, don't know, my guess is that the answer is the first hit on google

1. Killing all the remaining tanks will give the most EXP/credits.... but a win gives 50% more experience than a loss.... so the guaranteed win is always a good choice. Win or loss, you will recieve the same amount of credits on any given game. Damage is the main determining factor on your earned credits.
2. Yes... 3 on cap goes as quickly as 10. Only the first 3 players get cap points.
3. As many as you want to buy.

that debate has been going on since beta.sometimes it's better to cap if you can.if the other teams remaining tanks have good fire power they can knock out your tank or do some damage that cuts into the silver you earn.3 against 2 aren't good odds. in battle , me and a stug vs. 7 and they still had both their arties. me and the stug still won.camo net on my pz iv and his stug made a dangerous combo.

well the situation that made me want to ask this question was I was in the Steppes map we had 6 of us left and they had 1 arty. there arty ran for our flag and was on it we saw him and could easily have taken him out, everyone but our 2 artys was on the cap and then one of the players said "Dont kill em cap we get more XP" and THAT is the question I want answered I kept telling him wrong but he insisted that we do, so that is why I am asking this question.

Not true. For each enemy tank which is destroyed, the entire team receives some portion of exp/credits, regardless of whether they inflicted damage on the tank. Thus, while there is nothing special about killing the last tank (i.e. no magical bonus), the earnings will be greater if your team destroys as many enemy tanks as possible (15 being the maximum possible).
Instead of just running around declaring things as "myths", maybe next time you can back up your pronouncements with a source.
WoT Wiki:
"A specific bonus for "killing all enemy tanks" does not exist, but as listed above, the entire team receives more XP the more more damage to enemy tanks is inflicted by the team."

An example:
1 tank capping = 1 point/sec
2 tanks capping = 2 point/sec
3 tanks capping = 3 point/sec
4 tanks capping = 3 point/sec
5 tanks capping = 3 point/sec
etc...
does that make sense?

For #1, I just did a battle in a type 59 where i didn't spot anybody nor damage anybody (one of those battle where every single round miss) So i went in cap, and did exactly 50% of cap. I got 246 xp point, that with win bonus, type-59 bonus, premium bonus. Do your conclusion.

Not completely true. Everyone in the cap circle accumulates cap points, but it can only increase by 3 points per second.
This
3 or 10 ppl in the circle, the rate is the same. it's max at 3 ppl.
However, it gets harder to reset the cap cuz of multiple targets to choose to fire.

As for #3, well, there's 120 tanks sitting in my garage. And more than 10 blank spots waiting to be filled. It's always possible to buy more. But best to buy them when they're going for half price!

What he said is right on the money. On a further note, the first person in the cap is the one that will reset to zero if he dies or is damaged. IMHO it is always better to have more than three (if possible) in the cap to lessen the enemies chance of resetting.

If 3 tanks are on cap, damaging only the first one will not reset the cap meter to 0. It will only reset the amount of points that the damaged tank has accumulated.

In that situation, I believe its true, however, if somebody killed the last arty, THEY would get more XP.
Most of the time though, anyone asking to wait for cap are in the cap themselves, and most of the team is not. In that case, the guy in the cap is asking to hold off so that HE can get more XP, at the expense of someone who might be able to get more XP by killing an enemy tank, or get killed by the enemy they held fire on.
I wont go chasing after that last enemy if we are ahead on the cap, but if the last enemy is right there, Im not passing up extra XP just so someone else can get some.
