Hello all,

When you look at your WoT game profile you have a global ratings stat. In the table there are 2 columns: Place & Value.
I get what place means (and correct me if I'm wrong) - it's where you are located amongst all the tens of thousands of WoT players. But what does 'Value' mean?

It's not one of the most valuable of metrics as it is heavily influenced by number of games played. The 'value' is simply what the system has worked out your global rating to be.

The better metrics tend to be those that are averaged out per battle. XP could be great, but they don't normalise it for premium use. Damage is highly regarded. But at the end of the day, remember that the main thing you are after is wins, so win rate is the main one. All others are a means to that end.

If you're keen on getting more stats, try http://tank-tracker.com/Default.aspx and http://wot-dossier.appspot.com

Both are pretty extensive with what they will tell you.

Thanks for the explanation. :)

I know about the dossier, didn't know the tank-tracker. There are endless discussions about how to measure one's performance and which tool is the better one, but out of who-knows-how-many threads I've never heard about the tank-tracker. How reliable is it?

I highly disagree.  Win rate means almost nothing if you play only pubs.  You can do everything right and own, but if your team utterly fails, you're still gonna lose.  Win can also be pumped up by playing company and clan battles.  It's a skewed stat and the worst measure of a player.  You have to look at the complete package and judge for yourself.  Battles vs. kills and survival percentage are good indicators.  Capture and defense vs. number of games as well.

I prefer this one as it can give more light into what your doing wrong and it easy to see if your improving or not
