I am about 9k xp from unlocking the t-54 and I have 30k free xp to use.  My question is what order should I unlock things in.  Should I get the tracks off the bat then work on turret, gun then engine?  I unlocked the LB-1 on the t-44 which is a decent enough gun, I'm sure it will be far more annoying on a T9 tank though.  

Any suggestions would help a lot, thanks!

I almost always get tracks first. It helps you with speed and traverse and your load capacity. This latter is the real driver of when to get them first or not. If you won't have the load capacity to use that new turret or new gun, then you must get tracks first. Otherwise it is up to personal preference I would say.

Most people like to grab the best gun as soon as possible, as better gun = more damage = more experience per battle.
