Of course, I regret I did this. I've lost all of the "attention" at the EU forums, and my mod is buried at page 10+

(Can't edit the post for some reason)
Just give it an update :P I'm trying to think of something you can do with it. I know you can likely give it back the map ping, the question is finding a sound good for it. Even if its from a source other than FH2. Maybe like one of the soudns you used for the main menu altered in audacity or somesuch. I've also noticed a rare bug. I'm not sure if its in the GUI or Ambience, but I get the fire sound when I'm near one, primarily in himmelsdorf, and it plays back a few seconds...stops...plays back a few seconds...stops. I think the length of the fire sound might be off. As for other changes...hmmm...Not entirely sure, but a map ping sound version would be a useful update for some of us.

Just posting a reply here for GnomeFather because he doesn't have enough fights on the US server to make a post as of yet! (20 are required)

So I'm passing on a message from him. He's going to be making an update soon which will, in his words:

Quote

This will remove the transmission sound, switch the sound between the Panther and the Tiger, as the Panther is actually using a more realistic Tiger sound.

It will also fix a problem with the playing of the music, as the playlist would only play the #1 priority song during loading.

I have also replaced the quiet siren sound with the MUCH more audible Project Reality siren sound played when low on tickets.

Here we go! A quick update again. This time its a completely different bit, but once more gnome is having trouble posting.

Ok, I'll give you a public test of the upcoming New vehicle sounds.

http://www.mediafire...8avfgos23c2q3b6

What's new:
-Completely refined sounds.
-The sounds are used from real life recordings, and not FH2.
-New way the sounds are played. Instead of just pitching depending on the loqe, it now increments after load, and works similar to NoblePlatoon's sounds.

Tank sounds featured:
-Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Maybach HL230 P-45
-M4A1 Sherman Continental R975 C1

I have also made a version which replaces the Tiger sound with the Panzerkampfwagen V Panther. This one is VERY LOUD!
http://www.mediafire...evce2ncqkg3hoqc

None of these test releases does not feature any sound for low tier tanks, but they will soon be added!

I need to know if there are any improvements needed.

Thar you all go. Go nuts with it. Make sure to throw him notes on improvements!

Yep. You called the sound download 3.7 instead of 3.8 in the post. You also broke the link on the EU server. SPEAKING OF WHICH. I left a gift for you on there. kekekeke.

Weird issue.

I just downloaded the sound pack and extracted the audio folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.3

The issue is that I'm missing the engine sounds!.

Nvm, I'm dumb. I didn't realize that the pack didn't have the engine sound.

Amazing job on the sounds btw. :D

I am downloading the music as I type this. I'll edit this post with my thoughts once I get it up and running.  :Smile-izmena:

Edit: as promised, my thoughts on the music.

So far, I've played 4 games with the music and absolutely love it. I've actually turned up my music volume to hear it more.

One other music suggestion is to add in Paanzerlied. That song would be great for this game.

Edit 2: the only two things I hate about it are 1) I stay in battle longer just to hear the music, and 2) I now have a couple of the songs stuck in my head lol :Smile_Default:

And one more thing I hate about it: now I want to go buy the songs on iTunes lol

Alright, another edit. Maybe add in some music from the movie Patton (I have the soundtrack in case you need them). Some ideas are:
-German Advance
-Attack
-Main Title

Let me know what you think. Since it's a FH2 mod, I don't know if you'll like it, but it's worth a shot!

Oh God, didn't notice this one until now! :Smile_ohmy:

Well, sure! Just have to listen I'm planning to add some more songs which isn't present in FH2, like "song of the Volga Boatmen", "Katusha".

I somehow keep managing to mess up my audio. Everytime I zoom into snipe, it sounds like the blast is Ricocheting in my speakers. I just have a normal 2.1 klipsch set however. Any way to fix this or is it just mod files?

Fantastic mod as always bro, thank you.

I might be able to do so if you could explain the issue more thoroughly. You know, I have some difficulties understanding english at times.

I also have the same problem as F3Zero. When in sniper mode, the sound isn't distributed evenly in both speakers, so the shot sounds like it switches to the left and right over and over quickly. It's fine out of sniper mode though.

Installing this mod made me get red screen on nearly every map when in sniper mode.  Removing the music mod removed the problem.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I don't notice any issues with the sound in sniper mode, so I don't know what the issue is, sorry :Smile_sad:

You're the first one to encounter such thing, and I have no knowledge of visually affecting sounds :Smile_amazed::Smile_ohmy:

I might have to try it again.  Suffice it to say that I love the music having had plenty of fun with Forgotten Hope.  Not as crazy about gun sounds, got a mod I love installed at the moment.

Is the music supposed to play during the battle or just at the start?

The music plays at the start of each map and that's about it.  I was also getting some track and engine sound glitches despite not installing that part of your mod.

I think I may have FUBAR'ed the installation :Smile-angry:

It's supposed to be played at both the loading and during the battle.

I don't think the music will cause any visual artifacts.

New version is coming, with an air raid played as an ambient sound. It's optional though, as some people might find it annoying.
