AMX 13 90 ver 7.2 changes:
- tank durability reduced by 50 points;
- durability of mid-suspension reduced;
- dispersion from motion and turning for top suspension increased by 5%;
- turret turning speed increased by 0.25 degrees/sec;
- view range reduced by 2.5 m;
- guns elevation angle changed from 8 to 9 degrees upwards and from 9 to 6 degrees downwards;
- reload time of gun 75mm SA50 increased by 1.7 sec;
- firing speed in the autoloader for gun 75mm SA50 reduced by 10%;
- splash for gun 75mm SA50 caused by turret turning increased by 25%;
- aiming time for gun 75mm SA50 increased by 0.22 sec;
- reload time of gun 90mm F3 increased by 0.9 sec;
- firing speed in the autoloader for gun 90mm F3 reduced by 10%;
- splash for gun 90mm F3 caused by turret turning increased by 25%;
- aiming time of gun 90mm F3 increased by 0.15 sec.
With the change to 7.2, to me it seems this tank still has it good features such as a flank attack and ambush tank, but more of the latter now. Time will be a big factor now with reload and aim. The big negative is that the tank will be vulnerable with the reduction of 50 HP on the tank and in addtion with a reduction of vision range.
The reload time is increased a tenth of a second for the 90mm, and 1.7 seconds for the 75 mm. There are also turret elevation and depression changes but that does not seem so bad IMO.
A positive, and I am not sure if the increase of the splash is a good thing or bad. Are they talking about shell splash for the rounds?
I am looking to see how this plays out. What do some of you fellow AMX 13 90 drivers think of the coming changes?

This means how much dispersion the gun will undergo.
I think the biggest catch is the dispersion factor of the gun. Now, you will have to expose yourself longer or move in closer to accurately get your shots in, and one wrong move such as staying still too long or ramming into a considerably heavier tank because of close maneuvering will spill instant death.

I think "splash" is dispersion on the gun... Translation glitch. Will be less accurate on the move. Overall they are doing an accross the board nerf on this tank. It will still be deadly but now will be a little more difficult.

Splash here is a mistranslation of dispersion. When you move your turret the reticule becomes larger because you are no longer fully aimed at the target. They've just made it x% bigger, depending on the gun.Because it is bigger it will take y% longer to fully aim.

Looking at it though the depression will be the biggest issue of the nerfs. Aiming and reload time didn't get hit as hard as I figured it would. And Alpha Strike damage remains the same.
Looks like the Devs agree that this tank is fine and is running like they intended. I noticed those who cried about it were Heavy tanks who couldn't comprehend that a light tank could or should kill them.
You know - if people stoppped complaining about these tanks that they preceive to be "OP" - and instead went and used their time and energy to get the Devs to fix all the USELESS tanks that cover this game. The game would be much better.
AMX 13 90 was fine. Only the Lorraine was deserving of a nerf anyhow.
Would be nice to get the AMX versions that had bigger guns in the future. OR just more deadly light higher tiered tanks in general.

The way I understand it was that the dev dont adjust a tank based on lots of threads screaming "OP", but based on stats.
I personally believe that the reason the AMX 13 family, Lorraine and the Bat are doing well (stats wise) is because lots of good long time players has lots of free XP and was able to get them.
Of course those players has the understanding on how to play a tank. Especially long time dedicated fast medium players they really enjoyed the benefit of fast moving tank with low profile and fast gun firing.
As time went by, the regulars start caching up and now able to get the AMX family, Lorraine, and the Bats. Naturally we start seeing less skilled players using them and thus the stats should be dropping and maybe close to equilibrium at this time.
Just my 2 cents I supposed.

We all have a right to our opinions and no doubt high level players on French tanks have been a deadly combo. With that said IMHO most of the suto loader tanks have been OP. I've seen to many t7 light tanks end up with 5+ kills in a t9 or t10 match. Not saying they aren't a tank that that shouldn't deal a ton of damage. With that said when a IS3 or E75 hits you IMHO as a light tank u should blow up in one shot. Your a LIGHT TANK when a big shell hits a light tank with little armor they tend to blow up LOL. In my mind that should be the trade off with a fast, light tanks, with a auto loader gun. The suto loaders do a insane amount of damage and sure when there clip is out u have to hide. Well the other tanks have to close to your spot and by then your usually reloaded and are able to crush again. IMHO suto loader guns need there pen reduced and/or accuracy nerfed if they aren't made more fragile to enemy fire.

so, we cannot know how many shells left in the cylinder anymore in 7.2? or is it because of my mod?
anyone have this problem too with french autoloader system?

They removed the 6/6 indicator on the shell icon and replaced it with a graphic of 6 shells on the HUD.
I had to disable my reload mod to be able to see it.
Nothing worse than going 1v1 with a tank and finding that you're gun is reloading when you go to finish him off.

well i'm done with my 13/90. i cant put a finger on but this tank dies way quicker and easier now. i'd bet they did a ninja nerf to its durability now. i hate it. i got hit once and it killed every module on my tank. i get tracked every shot first time. reloads between shots feels much slower than before. i only need 10k exp for the 40t but i see those doing even worse. thanks for screwing up what was a fun tank to drive. oh well back to the 34-85 so i can get a kv-13 and have fun again.

The changes have made it next to impossible to shoot on the move and hit anything unless your barrel is touching the target. Dispersion on this tank is ridiculous now.

well not a problem for me anymore. i sold it. got so frustrated with it, couldnt take it anymore.

It annoys me I dunno if I should sell it or just keep it and hope a newer update will make it worth it again. I just got the thing now it gets hammered with a Nerf. So I have a question should I keep it or sell it. I hesitate on this choice because I spent alot of my spare time (I get off from work) grinding to get up the the 90.

well i had over a 100 games in it and was less than 10k exp from the lorry 40t. i felt the difference right away and decided to sell it. you dont have the seat time in it so give it a try and see how you do. i'm aout to unlock the kv-13 in hopes it brings me back the joy and fun the 13/90 once did.

It needed balancing but this change may have been too much. It takes too long to aim to a point where it is almost like any other non-autoloader in aimed shots you can take but with the disadvantage of a extreme load time after 6 shots. It's not so good as a sniper anymore. Perhaps they intend it to be in close.

Does it seem slower to move around too? I am still feeling it out. Not totally useless.

I enjoy the 1375. After the 7.2 changes do you still think that upgrading is worth it?
Also... is the matchmaking of the 1390 a lot worse?

Have not noticed a change in speed. I've only really noticed the gun load and aiming time nerfs. I have not played it enough to make a definitive call on the nerfs. I just know it's harder to snipe. I used to reload after a couple of shots more often but the reload time makes that more questionable now. I tended to stay back a bit and try and snipe at the beginning of a match. I would then close in and be more aggressive when things spread out a bit and when there was less chance to be focused fired on. I can't get near as many shots off at distance as I used to. I personally hate slow aim time. You miss so many snapshot opportunities. There are different ways to play a tank though so I just need to learn how to best use it after these nerfs.
