Yeah, the 5 cm does have its advantages and is the typical elited set up for this tank. Having said that it plays almost like a light-medium like so. I play enough mediums that when I drive the Luchs I'd want something refreshing. That is why I experimented and now primarily use this set-up

I've sacrificed everything for agility and vision, and driving a tank like this can be considered a completely new experience. There is more emphasis on keeping enemies lit up and waiting for that poor guy who will chase you into the open. All alone and on your side of the map....Believe me when you fire the auto cannon at that tier there will be tons of guys who underestimate you, like Stugs and Pz4s. :Smile_teethhappy:
I now keep modules for both setups. On my own I play it safe with the 5cm for flanking. When I'm platooned with another skilled tier 3 player in a marder for example I usually go with your setup because it's way more fun, but if I make a mistake and end up one shotted by a hetzer or something it doesn't cost us the match.

I have a question. I have the scout setup and I was wondering, how do I deal with Valentines, Matildas, and A13s? I just can't seem to work a reliable strategy for them. Any help would be welcomed.

Can't do anything with the machine gun against those tanks. Use the 5 cm, it's the better gun and the bigger turret doesn't slow you down that much.

I use the small turret when I scout in TC, for pubs it's the 5cm or nothing.

Power :

Small turret 30 hp/tons
Big turret 26 hp/tons

You will accelerate faster but if you can't defend yourself you are worthless in pubs. It is also very easy to reach top speed even with the added weight. Trust me, you need that gun, just for the fun of owning tier III and IV.

It takes some time to get used to the slow turret but once you learned you can circle strafe a Mathilda or a KV-1 and enjoy killing em.
Killing a KV-1 with gold rounds while he is trying to target you is a lot of fun.
