Is it useless to give this to the whole crew in one tank or is it cumulative?

You have to give it to the whole crew for it to work

It adds 5% efficiency to primary crew skills. All crew members must have it at 100% for it to work and must all be alive in battle.

it adds 5% to "major qualifications and all skills and perks for the entire crew" (at least that's how it's described in-game)

although it mentions that "the perk comes into effect after it reaches 100% for the entire crew", so yar, have to train everybody.

however, it doesn't mention anywhere about the entire crew having to be alive for it to be functioning in battle. can anyone confirm this?

105% camo, anybody?  :Smile-hiding:

The devs have stated the whole crew needs to both have it at 100%, and be alive, for the perk to work.

Your whole crew needs to have the perk at 100% for it to work. I have tested and confirmed this. You'll see the extra +5% on all your dudes.

Pretty cool.

It was in one of the the skills discussion threads in the 7.2 test section, but all those threads have unfortunately been purged now.

i got it for all my guys in T34 and reloading time changed as follows:

14.38 sec - crew 100%
14.06 sec - crew 100% + 100% BiA Perk

modules added:

13.76 sec - crew 100% + 100% BiA Perk + Improved Ventilation Class 3
12.38 sec - crew 100% + 100% BiA Perk + Improved Ventilation Class 3 + Large-Caliber Tank Gun Rammer

values dont lie - BiA perk works like additional Vent :)

Mouse over it in-game, it will tell you everything.

except that it doesn't say anything about the entire crew having to be alive, which was my question.

Here is what the wiki says. Please note the text which I have changed to bold. Is this true?

This perk increases the training level of the role and non-role specific skills of the entire crew by 5. It does not affect role-specific skills and perks (in-game description is incorrect). There is no benefit whatsoever if any of the crew do not have this trained to 100%. The perk stays in effect if a crew member is knocked out during battle. The perk is cumulative with Improved Ventilation and skill boosting consumables.

I would love a confirmation on whether or not this is correct. Thanks!

But the point is, should we give ALL the crewmembers this skill? Is it any help if just one or two have it? Besides, does that 5% really matter that much?

They do not have to all be alive.

ALL crew in the tank have to have it at 100% for it to do anything. And unlike on the original test server, it now keeps working even if crew die.   There is zero point to only giving it to part of the crew.  And it matters as much as the improved ventilation module does.. They both do exactly the same thing.

entire crew with BiA perk at 100% = same effect as vents installed on a tank.. They also combine, so if you use BiA and vents you get 10%
