176 gold each? That's funny, a LOL ending to a LOLtractor contest.
This amuses me to no end

Yah not really happy with the outcome... Think its very wrong when you say 1500 per person and they do nothing wrong and give them 176 gold... 176 is alittle bit of a kick in the balls, I spent more then that when I bought gold ammo on my m4a2 on accident....Can I atleast sell back these damn gold rounds to WG for my M4A2, that would be wonderful and give me 200 something back...

176 gold ?? kidding me right ?? all that effort and players wasting time for a fail 176 gold prize ..

Exactly, 176 is LOL. Reason I say this is; the prize of gold is a virtual currency. Has no hard value outside of the game. Not exactly like the it has to be bought by WG to pass out. It's created. Not hard to pass out to the winners.
Unless, stated prior that say the community managers are buying this set amount of gold for prize money. Then is understandable. But if its just, email so-so, credit these guys. Then it is most definitely LOL.

176 gold is pretty pathetic. It is not the fault of the players that you did not think this out at all so punishing those who won for your lack of foresight is cowardly at best.

And in every other major "cash" sporting event... if there's a tie for first place, they add the two prizes together and split it between the winners. They do not duplicate prizes in the event of a tie.

This is BS. Wargaming should be ashamed of themselves, sugar coating crap like this. The winners won fair and square...most of them, and you guys just kicked them all in the balls and then threw 176 gold at them just to stick it too them for daring to enter your contest.

I don't know what you guys are complaining about. You won't find a contest anywhere where the prizes are duplicated rather than shared when there are ties.

Well, I'm glad to get something, I guess, and I don't want to sound ungrateful. Still, 176 gold is a LOT less than the 1500 we were all promised in the Contest Rules.
I don't think anyone is going to quit over it, but that's pretty disappointing. Why not suck it up, say "Oh hell guys, we left the rules rather vague when it comes to picking the top 3, our bad guys" and giving each of the top scoring teams what they were promised. It's a digital product that costs nothing for you, encourages people to KEEP spending money on the game, and would be an all-around decent thing to do.
It IS a shared prize, not duplicated. They split the prizes between 21 teams consisting of 330+ players.
