So, as this game progressed.....there came the AMX 40 a duck like tank......with amazing sloped armor.....
And people noticed the resemblance it had to a duck....but in truth there really was a true historical tank that was dubbed a duck.

One military observer, seeing the Matilda in action commented that it waddled like a duck since getting its name after a popular cartoon duck

Apparently, and I was surprised to discover this but the source is beyond reproach (i.e. David Fletcher), the whole 'Matilda the duck' story is a myth. It was a project name which stuck, the British traditionally pick names for projects at random. I must admit to not having seen much of a resemblance between Matilda and a duck either. (Matilda looked little like the Matilda II in the OP)

A great, but misunderstood tank

Still hoping to see the Matilda Black Prince somewhere in the future UK Tank tree or premium option (i.e. swap the current Lend Lease Matilda for the Matilda BP version since the UK tree will get the normal one already).
