today..  i faced quite a few of the m103..  and i have to say they are MUCH easier to kill than the t34 ever was, just seems they soak every shot i throw at em, the only one they bounced was when i sadly assumed it was as front hull weak as the t34..   and that was in a 3002db...   they seem very easy to pen almost everywhere.

feel free to correct me, but i see a lot of complaints in game about it.  but as the one shooting at it..  i love how squishy it is...

makes you almost think they tried to copycat a french tank's armor

The majority of people driving M103s and T110s are not very good with them at all. In a competent player's hands, they do very well.

M103 are far superior to the old T34... in armor/firepower/speed and they're much smaller.

i bounce quite a bit in my M103...

Clearly his reasoning why the M103 sucks is because it lacks armour.

Dont waste your time getting one, I was in the testing of said tank and it was ok in testing part of the time, i played it twice tonight and died before firing a shot, no clue how or why but is what happened, that sold it for me, i am seriously done playing so it doesnt matter.
It is amazing how many betafesters try to defend this game.....geez I wonder why that is?

My only qualms with my new t9/t10 is that their depression is a paltry 8 degrees and that neither of them can really hull down very effectively.
They also happen to be disgustingly weak against HE/arty and get 1 shot most of the time if they hit anywhere near the top of your turret.
I happen to like everything else about them in pubs since I like high dpm fast firing guns in little nimble packages.

never driven one, but faced a few in my KV-3 today.... they seem equally resilient to me (but then again i only have stock gun)... as a side-note though they look ugly as sin to me, the turret reminds me of a deformed jelly bean with its slight upward curve in the back lol

OP ... you don't "need" it back... you have both if you had the T34 prior to the update.  

er what?  The M103 is a much better option then the old t34.  You'd just seeing all the people who haven't learned to play with it yet. The T34 was so bad many players just let it sit in there garage until the update, now the majority have to learn how to play thee tank!

A couple of games ago with my M103 I was slicing through an IS3 without having to choose where I aimed at.  Penetrated him straight on.  Had no problem with any tanks but the E75, which is expected. I got a few bounces from a Panther II who I also had no problems penetrating. Destroyed a Jagdpanther and SU152 without any issues at all (well SU got me good, but I returned the favor). We lost the match, but I ended up with 3 kills and 2K profit.

You see how my Lowe is my most played tank in my sig below?  Thant's eventually going to be replaced by my M103 or T34 as I'm pretty happy with em.

Which is why you CANNOT hull down with the tank, the turret does not have any sort of reliable strength to withstand shells...

You throw nearly all of the turret strength of the old US tank in exchange for the mobility, not some minor reduction, but one that necessitates a change in approach.

wow i get negs for posting an opinion based on an observation.  one of which i even stated that i may need to be corrected.  i never said the tank was crap, just said the armor seemed weak.  meh whatever.

The armor is weaker. The hull armor is a little better but still not strong enough to protect against anything substantial, and for that it traded turret armor, so now it's turret can be penetrated frontally by tier 6s and 7s and penetrated thru the mantlet by it's peers.
