I would say if you want to get rid of the in-game pricks, get rid of the US players. Except, I am one. Truth is, US players treat people more poorly than any other nation, hell all the other nations combined. It makes me sad since I was raised to always treat everyone how you want to be treated yourself. I am honestly ashamed of my fellow countrymen.

I'm sorry you had such a poor in-game experience. Ignore the dead, they are where they belong, and more times than not, if they had used some tactics and understood you cannot win this game by just running blindly into fire trying to be the hero, they would not be dead in the first place.

How do you know they are US players for sure?  Dont whitewash the rest of the real US players who are here to have fun.  Cant we just kill each other in peace?

Another example of a nub who has NO CLUE that the NA server has players from Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Asia, and Australia, etc, etc, etc.

Have you played in the EU, Russian, or SEA servers???? Or do you make assertions with absolutely no facts?

Every online game that has any form of in game chat is filled with Flamers/Ragers/Trolls  to complain about this makes me wonder what rock you have been under. It is part of online game play, accept it, or DONT PLAY. Good God, to even fathom asking people to be nice while they play online, hiding behind their keyboard is laughable.

Good players are usually the last to die, and hence dont do much "Chatting"  Bad players die first, chat often, and Flame the most. They are jerks to begin with. A good player who gets killed, sees the match is a loss or Fail Team, will exit battle grab another tank and get into another battle. The bad player will hang around flaming. These are the facts, and there is no way to stop this, like it or not.

Instead of asking everyone to be nice and whining when they aren't, why dont you just use the IGNORE feature? It works quite well...

1- Never, ever; under any circumstances whatsoever, feed a troll by responding in any way. EVER
2- CTRL+ click their name - Ignore
3- If they are being full on asshats you do the same as above but report them.

The type you are talking about are looking for a response, any response.

On the other hand there are people who stay in game while dead and offer good pointers; usually stuff you can't see while tunnel visioned.

I always use my drool cup and place a napkin accross my lap when playing.
I assure you sir MY manners are impeccable.

( am I the only one that thinks they kidnapped a midget and chained him to a PC where he slowly is going insane reading complaints and ignoring them?  Am I? ).

This weekend has been kinda hard on me for playing the game, had a few bad runs no biggie (I'm only running like a 75% crew in my t34 so I have no real expectations there and I havent gotten to play more than a game of 5 in the last week so I'm feeling a bit rusty and all my self pitying excuses to self for playing badly in a game or two). And like any one I have gotten shafted by the MM  and RNG. And hey new tanks and new new maps, so mistakes to be made and all. And yeah Invisa tanks can get me down \

I'm going to post something constructive.

The T34 sucks.  You probably know this but it bears repeating, and it is important in relation to your examples here.

You state that you have a 75% crew.  This is a serious mistake.  You don't like invisitanks?  You get them because your crew is busy eating gluesticks.  This is even worse when I'm shooting at you and my crew is at 121 percent, has binocs, and has every vision distance related skill there is to 100%.

Don't try to hop into anything tier 4 or higher without taking a 100% crew and retraining them to 90% with silver at a minimum.  If you're short on crews you can leave older tanks uncrewed for a while, but don't make the mistake of going without at least one proven money maker with a crew trained in it.   Additionally, don't run the tank without filling out ALL 3 of your equipment slots and all of your consumable slots.

A lot of guys at this point say "I don't have the silver to train them, and I certainly don't have the silver to buy modules!  I just bought the tank and now I'm broke!   No excuse.  Park the tank until you can afford to outfit it correctly.

Then people say "But I can't afford to waste a slot on a tank I don't drive!"  No excuses there either.  Extra slots go for 150 gold when on sale, and 350-750 gold free promo codes come along fairly frequently.

Long story short, you take a T34 into a pub match with a 75% crew, you are going to have a really rough time of it.

Now, moving on,

Quote

I say " thats it I'm done" and stop my tank. I proceed to say in general chat I'm sick of dead guy giving me crap when I dont do what they want and all I need is to not be bitched at if someone wants me to do something, and though I didn't say it in chat I will say it now. I would even settle for someone just waiting for a person to have the chance to take any action before they start to complain. Now the abuse is non-stop, and the remaining teammates join in

Just because they're dead and you're not doesn't mean you're somehow magically in the right.  If you are a player that could use some improvement, then there is a good chance they're dead because of something you did or failed to do.  Inferring that they should not be listened to simply because they are dead in that situation will make virtually anyone flip out.

When everyone is yelling at you then yeah, maybe they're just all dicks and totally unreasonable.  But if you're even posting a topic like this in the first place then most of the time they're likely right about the basic tactical stuff.    You said yourself that you decided they were right after being told about something several times - perhaps it was something you should have noticed right off, or at least noticed after the first mention.

You clearly seem to have started it in this case, and even if you hadn't I have a hard time being sympathetic.   The absolute WORST thing to do in the middle of a competitive shooter game is to stop, refuse to keep playing, and start carrying on about how someone is being "mean" to you.   This statement seems to indicate that you don't quite understand that:

Quote

Now I'm not saying that I expect please and thank yous at every turn, but it's the Internet -- it takes even less that in real life to just treat others with some respect.

The world doesn't revolve around your feelings and neither does the game or the other 29 people in it.  Formalities and "how-do-you-do-good-sir" nonsense add nothing to battle communication and waste time - but not as much time as being thin-skinned.  If someone types at you, "SHOOT THE ******** MAUS!!!!11", you don't stop and get mad at them for not typing "Kind sir in the T34, could you do us all a favor and take the time to engage the Maus with your cannon?" -  what you do, is SHOOT THE MAUS and get on with it.

If they're being spastic with the chat comments and pinging it's probably something you should have noticed already - take note of it, make a decision, act on it, and if it is something you should have addressed sooner, make a mental note on that as something to do better in the future and drive on.   Nobody cares about your feelings; they care about winning.

This sort of problem is even more pronounced when using voice comms... a battle commander will raise their voice and quickly tell someone to do something really important, and they'll stop in their tracks (literally, in this game) and start blathering over voice comms about the usual "stop disrespecting me" stuff.  The message isn't personal -- it's just urgent.   Pretty much the best response in most games to anyone pulling that stunt is to kick them off teamspeak/vent and Removed get them the hell out of the way.

self conscious much? Grow a spine and don't take shit from your peers, only three groups of people should you take shit from because two of the groups know you well and the third writes the checks; family friends and bosses.

plus this is the internet. really? you're going to get bent out of shape about some words? I don't know about you but bullet holes and stab wounds hurt way more than some words from a dickbutt I don't even know

Oh please... let me count the apoligies I have recieved from people who have done that same thing to me on too many occasions to count... I have never ranted at them so maybe I was wrong not to try and intimidate an appology out of them. That probably explains why I never got one.

And please reread my post... I wasn't parked, I was still moving when he stopped. I recognize I shouldn't have been following right behind him and said so. It was a momentary lapse, not the worst grief of a teammate.

Following right behind someone is the same as parking behind them. It's very easy to not do it.

Think I've been killed because of blocking tank behind less than 5 times, damaged less than 10. Much more often someone in weak tank decides to be a hero and moves out in front of my stronger tank, doing no damage and keeping me from contributing. I don't park behind them when they do that, though. Gluing to the back of a tank is a very rare thing, it's easy to avoid, so of course if someone does it they'll get yelled at. Who cares if people who did it to you weren't sorry? It's still a fundamental driving failure, apologize and accept the other player's reaction.

If you keep blocking me from behind and I don't die, I might call you idiot, but more likely I'll just do what I can to put you between me and enemy.

If you're really getting blocked from behind that often, maybe you're putting yourself into overcrowded chokepoints instead of finding somewhere you can fight more flexibly. Too many tanks in limited space doesn't really increase firepower and makes it more likely some will die.

There will always be jerks, especially online and while they are nasty, generally they cannot hurt us. So just roll with it, call them noobs if you like and continue to have fun.

A stat ho, oh noes....KEEP PAYING TO WIN.

I ran all my tanks non premium and from 50% crews to 100%. And I can keep above average in all the tanks I played but maybe three or four. Go buy some more GOLD and keep running OP tanks.

Guys like you really make me laugh.

Everyone must abide by your say cause your the King right....get a life bro it is a game and a free to play game at that.

It is a crying shame that people forget how to have common courtesies amongst their fellow man(woman). Think that was the point of the OP, sure he knows how to handle himself and how to use the ignore feature.

I wouldnt call him a stat whore. Thats the guy that calls out the lowest win % at the beginning of every match thinking hes a tough guy. If you can train a crew up to 90% with credits thats a smart play. A 75% crew is gonna suck. Its a tough grind. If you dont wanna support the game thats fine. Just dont be an ass and treat the guys that make it available for you to play free like crap.

There have been times in the past when I have not been as polite as I could have been and a lot of it comes from frustration. You want to know why the ranting comes after they are dead? Because they have probably spent the last five minutes holding down a position without a sliver of support and are too busy to yell at you to move your ass. It can get infuriating in a supposedly 15 player co-op game where it seems everyone is intent on kill shots, camping or saving on their repair bill. I agree this is your game, you pay for it or not as you see fit, but it's a co-operative game and if you want to be selfish and not play as part of a team, go play a single player game.

If someone runs off and gets killed by themselves because they were stupid then they have no reason to complain, but when you are doing the right things and wonder why the E-75 is sitting next to your arty, it can get frustrating. And trust me when I say I am much tougher on my clanmates over teamspeak than I ever am on anyone else, at least from them I expect a higher degree of competence, when they cock up(as everyone does) they know about it.

However in saying that, we only rant because we care about the match and the moment we stop you gotta wonder if anyone is left who actually gives a...well you know.

One thing is a dead player trying to give advice ("I saw that TD around C6, he is 10%), and another thing is what the OP says: nerd-rage over other players just because they don't do exactly what the dead player wants.

You know, when that happens to me, I found that the best answer you can give is:

"Sure"

If they are even more annoying and hysterical, you may try:

"Sure kid"

While, of course, you do what you want and not what they want you to do. You may repeat those words as many times as needed: 4 or 5 times (if the troll continues bothering you) is a good amount.

Example:

-Raging Nerd: "trollololol go there do this and then that wtf are you waiting move moooovveeeee!!!"
-You: "Sure"
-Raging Nerd: "lolol sure what you no moving you move now or I report you TROLOLOLO"
-You: "Sure"
-Raging Nerd: "wtf dude kill them all win the match for me its my 2x and I wanna go bed go and die for the cause trololo"
-You: "Sure kid"
-Raging Nerd: "you noob you have 50%WR with your tank I have 65% because I platoon play CW and companies but Im better than you now move rushTROLOLOOOOOOO"
-You: "Sure"

It's annoying for them because you are blatantly ignoring them, and you don't contribute to the trolling, so sooner or later they stop bothering you.
