Simple question, what is a good hit ratio for the Hummel, I have 37% would that be considered good or bad?

i think that's pretty good for arty, mine with the m41 is about the same.

From looking at a few friends of mine that had/have the hummel, the average is 34% roughly...So that's about average

i have a 35 Percentile in hit ratio

Mine is at 35% on my SU-5 and its a short range piece.  Very short range.

OP Don't forget hit percentage is really for the tankers. Splash damage is a "miss" as far as the game engine is concerned, only a direct hit counts as a "hit". The rest is just damage.... crunchy, crunchy damage :-)

I had 41% in mine, until that last match where I hit 1:16 shots...

strange, I shoot 2 time, and one of them kill KV and damaged other tank that park close to it. at end of game, it said I hit 3 time and shoot 2.it mean I have 150% hit?

It probably said you damaged/killed 3 tanks, but that's not how hit ratio is calculated. It's simply the number of direct hits divided by number of shells fired. Not a particularly effective metric for us arty players, but thats ok. We value damage above all!

OP...mine is same as yours, though commander and gunner aren't 100% yet.

I had a 35% hit ratio on the Hummel and 42% on the GWP.

How on earth do you have such high hit ratio on the hummel? I can spend a whole match shooting at fully stationary targets upon which I'm fully zoomed in.

It will say I shot 17 times and hit twice.

are your crew 100% yet?
and Hummel suffers most from the DRUNK GUNNER issue

and fire carefully, that means dont push you mouse when clicking
(some arty player does, they are so excited that they just finished reloading, and miss the shot)
that will definitely affect the accuracy

The aim point is actually in three dimensions. If you put your cursor on top of a tank it'll be aiming higher than if you put the cursor on the ground. So, when shooting at a stationary enemy tank, place your crosshair on the ground just on the other side of the tank. If the round deviates it's still likely to hit the tank. If you put the crosshair on top of the tank and it goes high it'll pass right over the target. Of course, wait until the circle (oval usually) stops shrinking before firing.

Now, sometimes this doesn't work. I've had games where I fired 16 times and hit once (or even zero) and I've had games where I hit 80% of the shots fired (remember an 8:10 and a 9:11 game).
