AMX 13 90: Crew dying way too fast!

SO yesterday I played my first games post 7.2 patch.  I noticed something
incredibly terrible...

My crew was dropping like flies.

Now this wouldn't be a problem on other tanks, but on a crew of 3, this is
extremely alarming.  I almost always had a crew member die in the first shot
that dealt massive damage.  This is at full health and it's almost always
not the Commander.  Something has to be done about this.

why does this have to change? how much armor does the 13 90 have?

ok so no armor, even less hp and a general nerf bat to all aspects of this tanks firing mechanism. this tank is way to frail now. it can almost always be 2 shot now. what a joke. not to mention its almost always in tier 9-10 matches.

You are so right! Please read my post concerning all the nerfing done on the French tanks. The batchat is almost useless now! The 50B WAS useful on the battle field and it most certainly is weakest against the New American line. Now it is nerfed it is almost stands no chance at all. Why in the world nerve the very crux of the French tanks, the auto loader?! It would have been FAR BETTER to just remove the whole French tree altogether! I am not complaining or whining but simply stating the facts from a players point of view, from a practical stand point. IF the developers don’t return the French tanks to their former state BEFORE the 7.2 patch! Then by all means just remove the French Tree! Put the French tanks out of their misery!

It's ridiculous, every time I'm hit my engine is dead and I'm tracked
I hope I can get used to it

This tank is really the biggest pile of crap I have driven.  I have struggled with new tanks before, but this one is insane.  I haven't given up on a tank before, but this one may be the first, it just doesn't seem worth it.

     You will not get used to it. Had the 13 90 post 7.2 and now am just about ready to sell it. 99 times out of a 100 engine hit or tracked and it then is as slow as a T95. With all the nerfing done to it , it is now next to worthless. My feeling is that it was to much competition to the Russian tanks and had to be dealt with.

somtimes it just BS, my engine + turret get's killed by a short 88 of a panther and then he finishes me of  :angry:

I am feeling the same way.   I am glad it isn't just me.  I kept hearing they suck through tier 5 and improve slightly by tier 6 and tier 7 was great.   Well, I am tired of getting in tier 9 and 10 matches every game   and grinding to 110K for the lorraine might take 6 months.   36 games and 5 kills and 29% winrate   this tank ....no ALL French light tanks BLOW !!!!

All you people are complaining about the 13 90 or components of it dying quickly when it gets hit. Shouldn't that be expected with 30-40 mm of armor? :blink:
I have had some really good matches in mine, and the point is not to let the tank get hit in the first place. Yes, it has 1000 hp, but that doesn't mean it should ever have to use it.

And about the engine problem, I've seen the 3d model hitboxes on this tank, and the engine takes up 2/3 of the hull. Basically, if you get hit, chances are the engine's gonna take it.

I have noticed this in all my tanks post-7.2.  I expect that the "deadeye" perk is at fault.

Considering the virtual lack of armor of the 13 90  and how closely all of its modules are packed into it, this tank is basically a rolling bunch of hitboxes. If you get hit, chances are you'll lose someone or something, so just avoid getting hit as much as possible. Yes, you can take a hit in a pinch, but expect to use a consumable afterwards.

This.  You're like a rapist in prison: everyone is gunning for you, so you have to bide your time and shank them in the back in the middle of a riot.  You have to be sneaky and unforgiving.  You have to figure out when your best chance to cause havoc will be, then exploit it.
