The new login pictures are located in the packages folder in the gui.pkg: gui/maps/login

back_1_without_sparks.png
thru
back_12_without_sparks.png <----- these are the various tank backgrounds on the loginname/password screen

__login_bg.png  <----- this one is the "old" start screen (login_bg2.tga) which shows just before the new imagery


I am going to test to see if they can be "modded".
YES!  Create the directory C:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.2\gui\maps\login and drop in the old login_bg2.tga but rename to __login_bg.png
...and it doesn't affect the others so you don't have to have a duplicate of the new - folder works like most mods
you can change the other ones if you want as well

Doubt we can add to them without editing whatever file has the master list

Those that want them for wallpaper should be happy.
It is 36 MB woth of pictures zipped... so you'll just have to get them yourselves

Finding them or modding what is shown?

the login_bg2.tga needs to be opened in an image editor and saved as (with double underscose) __login_bg.png

Edit: GOT IT! The first screen before the video loads up my IS-7 v. Maus screen shot. Man, it looks totally cool.

Ok, got it to work as well "but" how do you change/or can u change the screen with the login button/password screen???

Change the back_1_without_sparks.png thru back_12_without_sparks.png files
(I tested by duplicating the login_bg file and renaming the copies to the names above)

This only changes the background image.  The "flames" that move across the screen are part of the flash (swf) file.

Once open with WinRar, go to this file path. - gui.pkg\gui\maps\login

Extrace the files from there. You will see __login_bg.png and back_1_without_sparks.png through back_12_without_sparks.png. To get the working, once you edit all the files and have them the way you want them, (Must be in .png format), Create a directory path of C:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.2\gui\maps\login\ and put them in there.
