I haven't had any luck finding an answer to this so I figured id ask here...

If I have 2 or more crew members with the camo skill (or any of the early 3 skills for that matter) how do they stack? would having one member with a low percentage and one with 100% create a single lower effective percentage due to it being averaged as the description implies or would it be cumulative in some way?
Thanks.

Camo, along with repair and fire fighting, is averaged across your whole crew. If say you had a two man crew, one with 100% and the other 20% then your camo skill for that tank would be 60%. If you had a five man crew and only one had 100% and the rest had 0% then your camo skill would be 20% for the tank. This is my understanding of how it works.

The description actually says:

"The effective training level is averaged across the entire crew."

So yeah, It's averaged. But not only for members who have the skill, for every crewman of the tank. So in a five-man crew if  only one has camo training and he's at 100%, 100 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 100 / 5 = effective 20%

Edit: Beat to the punch :<

my understanding is that it's the average over all crew members (whether or not they have skill)
two man crew 1 100% cammo, 1 0% =50% camo
two man crew 1 100% cammo, 1 50% =75% camo
two man crew both 100% cammo =100% camo

i only confirmed first and last case

Thanks for all the fast replies on this.

The reason I asked is because a guide i read for tds says to get your whole crew camo. But if its averaged into one percent like the skill says then that seems like a big waste, especially with all these new skills.

Check out this link.

Basically each tank has a basic camouflage factor. The small TDs are batter factor than the larger Tier X heavy tanks.  The average of your crews camouflage training, adds to the tanks basic camouflage factor. For example, crew with an average of 30% would make the tanks camouflage factor  130% of the basic . If the tank also as a camouflage net and is stationary it becomes 155% of basic. Shrubs and bushes can add to that again.

The skill is probably a waste on medium and heavy tanks, but very useful on TDs.
