Okay uhh, not sure if anyone had this happen, but that tank cover (or camo) roll on the back of the turret can apparently be hit, penetrated and applies to hull damage when it is. I had some invisi-tank on Malinovka tag it and put a hole straight through the 'front' of the roll. Not complaining about the hit (was a rather small area to hit), but should this really be able to take damage? It's a roll of canvas...

For me I have found out that almost any spot on the tanks in this game are damage dealing. Ive had a pz4 shoot the side of the log on the back of my Type 59 and penetrate and do damage. The side of the log...

most likely hit the back of your turret ,which around the turret area is like a nuclear bomb

Lag is very effective at making you think you got hit somewhere other than where you did in this game... and there are many spots like the side of the tracks beneath the superstruture on any tanks and the "light bar" on top of the E-100 that do component damage but no hp damage.

Watch the replay, stop at the time you got hit on that point, and look if it was indeed penetrated, or if it was a lag-made illusion. If it was a penetration, post a screenshot of the hole here.

@Cross
LMAO! Epic mate...epic. They smashed my Vodka-laden Smores for sure.

Wasn't lag, and I saw the tracer. It did hit the canvas roll. I think Sparater may be correct in this, which if he is, then it's just...ehh...weird.
I'm not complaining, I just find it more than a little off. Also isn't that 'log' on the Type 59 something to do with the fuel/exhaust system? I know what you're talking about, and at least that's metal. lol
@Ohshi
Unfortunately I don't have the replay. I never saw a need for the function in the past save for spamming files on my computer. Now I do. -.- Pretty sure it could be repeated in a training battle though.

It happens on the IS-4 as well, basically alot of Russian tanks have that as a weak point

From what i've seen is everything but tracks and gun are part of the tanks hp hit box. Unless lots of people complain about it like the ears of the t29, or the police bar on the E-100. So ya tool boxes, rolled up tarps, fuel tanks that would never be on tanks in combat. I've had that little tarp hit on the t-44 too. it does full damage and sticks up past the turret too. Guess its vital to the tank...
