I got my 90 after the 7.2 patch so i dont know exactly how it handled pre 7.2 but the listed aim time for the 90mm is 3 seconds, yet the actual time it takes for the reticule to full shrink is roughly around 5 seconds, what gives?

To top it off i also have 100%crew and a gun laying drive and vents so it should actaully be less than 3 seconds?

Can someone who regularly plays an amx with my setup help me clear up this confusion up as it is purely baffling me as to the actual aim time of this thing.

I have no problem aiming as it is, but i can assure you i get no where near 3 seconds from the time i stop my turret movement to the time it goes from full cirlce to closed

It was never time to full shrink - it's time for (i dont remember now clearly) shrinking the reticle two times.

frenchy nerf. my advice is to go and get the smooth ride and steady hands perk, as those will keep your reticle size down even when going 60. also get camo, as it stays on lights all the time, not just when immobile.

Yeah im already at around 50% for those skills, i can deal with the aim time but i was just confused is all at the shown value being non-equivalent to the actual value.

I have the 75 as well and there is a significant difference in aims times which was non existant to me on the 13 75

Still a bit confused to the aim, cause i actaully play a derp KV regularly and ive never had an issue with the aim of that

The 3 seconds is for how long it takes for the reticule to settle from RECOIL of shots. Obviously if you are moving the time is much longer

Drive up close,so close that it doesn't matter what your retticle settle time is! Amx 13 90 is not a sniping tank, its gun is  not good at it. You have enough speed  to get in unload  2-3 shots (dont get gready), before victim realises  whats going on, reloads and shoots, by that time you're going to be in cover already.

AMX 13 90 is an awesome sniper, I dont know what you are talking about. Of course if you are trying to snipe against tier 9s and 10s your shots would bounce alot, but it's still capable of killing tier 7s and 8s that are exposed.

Lol I hope you are joking. I'm not even talking about the lack of pen. The short 90mm is probably the most weird gun I've used. The dispersion within the shot reticule is crazy. Most of the shots don't even go near the center point but to the ground or off to the side. It's not a sniper gun.

I think you should stop Jimmy from drinking wine and shooting the gun at the same time ;)

I'm serious. The amount of random shell drops from the short 90 makes me feel like I'm shooting slingshot at their tanks.

Maybe it's because I just got off the Su-152 grind where the 122mm is about as accurate as a shotgun, but the 13 90 doesnt feel that bad to me...

At the end of the day, for me a good sniper isn't just about the gun. I tend to agree that as a gun goes, it's a bit 'meh' as a sniper gun. However sniping is also about getting to good spots, and staying hidden. And the 13 90 is ruthless at that.

And to the OP, yes it got nerfed. It's not quite as deadly as it used to be... But it's still damn fun!
