Crash....Freeze...Disconnect....Rinse...Wa...

meatycus's Photo meatycus Apr 21 2012

MAJOR packet loss and huge lags are making this game unplayable, the OP is NOT alone, I could not play last night due to this, the fault is not mine, nor my ISP, the packetloss is occurring on the Sanjose/telia part of the link to the login-master.worldoftanks.com address

All other games I play are perfectly fine, as is the net in general, WOT need to take this seriously, as atm I feel my premium account is a complete waste and will not be purchasing more until I can have a playable game

i'm on verizon dsl here, win xp 32bit..found the best way to work out connection issuses...disconnect/deactivate nic in the os..restart modem...wait til firm connection then reconnect/re-activate the nic in the os
this resets the nic's buffers without rebooting whole system
also resets modem's buffers as well

btw, i'm playing this game from a p4e 478 pin cpu with 4gig dual channel ddr2, and nvidia 260 gtx, and pci-sata-2 card to give me 1 burner and 5 hds
if i can make this game run fairly smooth with few game crashes on occasion thru the week
so can you with your more modern pc's

if i make enough cash this yr, i can build me a whole new gaming pc based upon intel 2011 cpu
figured i'd need 2-3k ...also would like to get a nice 40 inch display

You know whats even more frustrating than that is when I was downloading the new 7.3 test server client and my download went without a hitch the whole day all 2.8 gigs of it(p.s. this took the day because my internet is slow). Then when it says 2 seconds left on the download timer my download stops and says "download interrupted". This is the last time I try to download a test patch that they release especially if its going to just decide not to work whenever it wants. So after that i said im done with this and havent played WOT for like 5 days straight, I'm just gonna wait till the official release comes, hopefully they cant screw that up for me.

Sigh here we go again.... Ever since the 7.2 patch my bloddy game wont stop crashing and what's worse now is that today it started freezing on me. The "quick fix" for the "freeze" seems to be Ctrl+Alt+Dlt, open task manager. Now you should hear your game running, next step is pressing Alt+Tab and go to the desktop then back into the game window and it should work again. This option I hope would help you guys out since I keep reading about most of ya restarting your entire computers. Other than that I REALLY hope 7.3 is going to fix at least SOME of these issues.

Hope it helps!
Sincerely DemonixELT :)

Anyone else noticed that no one from the game company has bothered to reply here.

Heads in the sand, hoping we will continue paying for gold, while offering no acknowledgement of there even being an issue.

Pathetic company ethic.

Still having this problem, and this doesn't work for me.  I have to manually force close the program using the task manager, and start a new client every single time.

I've tried full screen, windowed, minimizing, etc.  The game freezes up and by the time I get back in the match, I'm usually dead.

I'm having the same problem. Ctrl + Alt + Del doesn't work everything frozen. I have to re-boot my system. This is the only game/application that does the freeze. Even took my laptop in to a local shop and they couldn't find any problems with the laptop or it's software.

I wish I hadn't paid for the premium since I can't finish most games.

I also have the same problem, mostly it happens when loading a new map then the game suddenly freeze and followed by crash to desktop. It happens more often recently like 4-10 times a day, while before the "login issues incident" it happens only about once a week..

Still wondering what caused this stupid problem..........

7.3 and still crashing, disconnecting, and getting killed and losing because of it. Had absolutely no problems like this before 7.2. This is disappointing.
