Soooo just something that I have noticed since the update is that the track effects will often work at the beginning of the match but soon after, will stop.  (Yes, I have "Enable Track Effects" checked in the menu) What I'm saying is that after a short period of time or after you run over something, a small rock, a truck, etc, the track effects will cease to work entirely.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

Just an FYI for those new players: the track effects im talking about are the track marks left in the ground for a short while after your tank passes through that location.

Turn them off. They affect your FPS.

My FPS is fine with them. I think it adds another dimension and I like them :P

They disappear because your computer has to continue to render them, so the more you drive, the more your comp has to do.

...same as bullet holes in first person shooters.

The game should erase the older tracks as you continue to move and make new ones.

I noticed this in the past, too. It always seemed like one patch of dirt would leave tracks and another wouldn't. I turned mine off a while ago, though. It bothered me when I saw them disappearing right in front of my eyes like little gremlins are following me and sweeping up the mess.

I'm not talking about recycling the old ones to make new ones, I'm talking about them not showing up entirely. I know they're supposed to disappear as I make new ones  <_<
