to me (i re-iterate TO ME)  it seems the is4 has become a liability to teams it is on..  i own one so i can say this..  the armor (as it has been said by everyone) quite frankly sucks for a tier 9..  anymore it reminds me of a lowe that can't snipe well..  that being said, i hope it gets better in 7.3..  or it'll be a victim of my next garage sale..  i just got it a few days ago, have all the upgrades already..  even then, i'm already sick of it..  i don't even fear them anymore when fighting them in a lower tier tank...  my KT and is3..  not to mention t34 and lowe tear them apart rather handily..  not trying to incite anything..  i just think it needs to be retired until 7.3.

Weak... armor?

It has really good armor for it's tier, so long as you don't let the enemy penetrate your pike sides and frontal driver view.

i love my is-4 but at times it becomes a real pain...  

likes to snipe great one round then wants to miss pretty much everything the next round  

I've not noticed much when fighting them in my KT, but they do seem to miss a bit more than in 7.2

I have been reading the various threads about how the armour has been changed and the IS-4 is not as good as it used to be but, I myself am not seeing that.

For the me the IS-4 performs the same for me as it ever did.

Maybe it comes down to my playstyle or I have just been lucky.

Russian heavy drivers are so spoiled. IS-4 is still a beast.

Frontally its armor kinda is kinda lackluster for tier 10. The strong side armor is somewhat difficult to utilize with the forward turret mount (unlike the Maus)

I don't think it is getting an armor buff in 7.3

Let's wait til it comes out to judge

Only time I drive my IS4 is for the x2 (atm x5) now that I have the xp for IS7.  Weak spot in the front , back, and flat 160mm sides means you are a slow moving sitting duck.  Even the top gun is worse than the T34s a tier 8 premium.



Hope 7.3 fixes it.

As long as it can contribute to a CW victory, I will feed and groom my IS-4. She done good last night.

ROF is .53 less, but with worse accuracy/pen so negligible in the end.

IS-4 frontal armor is weaker than its sides due to weak spots, the drivers port is pretty much a free shot, and if you angle your front to minimize hits on that the second weak spot just gets hit.

No thx, IS4 is has enough gun depression to hull down tho, so until they buff the armor for T10 nxt patch just do that.
