What he said. IS-7 is a good tank, but the wait times make it unplayable and the grouping is not fun. I find myself going back to JTiger more and more cause of the wait.

tank wise IS7 is better game wise its no fun, prefer my IS4 and gone back to it. this is the problem with tier 10 tanks. u become everyones target and everyones expected game winner.

I just finished my IS-7 grind two days ago, spent my 178,000 experience and 6,100,000 credits and I have to admit to being extremely disappointed. The tank itself is great, but trying to join a game in a tier-10 is a nightmare. The wait times are never less than 2 minutes (and often much longer) and when you do get a game it is loaded with Mauses and other IS-7s... At least in my IS-4 I got to fight a mix of opponents and seldom had to wait more than 20 seconds for a game.

This is a prime example of "Be careful what you wish for syndrome" everyone wanted Tiered battles because of Leichtracktors and MS1s joining in standard matches....remember that?  Now this poor guy "StanSuarez" worked his fanny off to get an IS7 and he can't even enjoy it's power because he's put into nothing but tier 10 matches.  And you wanna know the humorous part to this story?  Leichtracktors and MS1s are still getting into the game!......  Bring back Standard and Recruit battles!! :Smile-izmena:

Anyway, Has anyone ever seen an IS3 take out a IS7 or a Maus one on one?

Got my IS-4 tonight. It is friggin' AWESOME compared to my IS-3. You can take so much beating. The only caveat is being slow as a snail until you get rid of the stock tracks+engine. I won't be able to dodge enemy shells in dogfights any time soon like I used to in IS-3. :)

Also... no, don't think I ever took a IS-7 or Maus alone in my IS-3. But I did take a VK4502 Ausf B from 100% to 0 in a 2on2 fight one time (I had a Pz4 on my side, he had a VK3002DB on his side). Doing it to an IS-7 should be completely impossible, too fast to outmanoeuvre that beauty.. it MIGHT be possible with a loner Maus though, but then again, when do you ever get a 1on1 with a Maus and both on 100% to start off?

If you enjoy the IS4, you'll love the IS7. Its much better overall, and the lack of rear armor is its only weakness.
There's a thread about IS4 vs IS7 here, will give you a much clearer view.

it was 2 is7 vs 1 me is4  ))) it was on open field, killed them both and i had 800hp left xD
sou i think is3 can kill is7 1/1 =)))

well i dont likе is7... because its not fun to fight 2/3 tier10 tanks in enemy team, because all your team just fallows u laik magnets and other flank/base defensles...

and 1 massive big problem whyt is7))) it can be 1 shoted by tier 5 tank xD
i have played 400 battles whyt my is4, 1 time i was 1 shoted by su14, only 1 time.

if we will look from power on battlefield view than is7 better
if we will look from fun side than is4 better

someone has told about is7 wolf pack... :D  well i have seen 1 pack. at himmelsdorf they rush from mid to our base... and ... um... they all died  :D  and than we raped rest of enemy team)))

cant w8 for hard wipe sou that loltraktor drivers wont use tier 10 9 again

Do you think the IS-7 can be used instead of  or like a t44 ?
Cause i hate the slow kv i am right now but kinda like my t34/85 so i think of the is 7 as an superheavy gun on a medium panzer driving like heavy tank^^

In german you would say eierlegende wollmilchsau which means  it is good for everything :)

No. It doesn't have the acceleration, maneuverability, rate of fire, or turret traverse to play as a dogfighter. It is a mobile heavy tank.

unless the yankee T30 is MUCH better than the IS4, i'll do a big $$ splurge and go staright to the IS4 as fast and as paid as possible, it's just an awesome tank as DIVA said.

too bad a lot of the fun of the IS4 is ruined by random nuke arty shot out of nowehre that takes out 1740HP in one hit..... (happened last night on lakeville, random S51 shot took out 1740HP in one hit whilst i was moving at full speed ahead perpendicular to it, left me with 50HP...).

y it hapens. i play whyt Lianna in platoon always. she use s51 to cover my is4)) i dont have a problems whyt artys tier6 often. its laik 1/4 battles whyt tier6 1 arty and its allmoust always Lianna counter it fast. or i just hide sou well that arty wont hit me and i will do 5 kills in round xD
believe me even if you have 50HP and u ar good whyt is4 than u realy can and u realy ar still deadly tank, u still can shot your shell whyt 500dmg or shot enemy in his ammo rack xD. survived alot of times whyt my last 100HP.
but the question is will is4 suits u. bcs, for me, i hate is7, i love is4, and im sending is3 to hell. i just realy hate is3... it eats all shells... its sou enrages me ...

Hated IS7 for all its good points.
Love the IS4 fun to play and goes toe to toe will anything.
IS3 i have a lot of issues with ammo rack and loader being taken out, i thought the Tiger was a sucker for this pre wipe but man alive this sucker will go like a box of microwave popcorn.

BL9 is a great gun but i do miss the 130 from the other tanks.

Arty is anyones nightmare and limits should be done but thats another discussion.

the IS series feels more complete than the Tigers but they where no less enjoyable and unless the US tree has something sparkling then it will be IS4/KT/T1 for open play.

I don't know why but now that I play my IS-4 I suddenly die LOTS earlier than when I was still in my IS-3... and EVERY artillery player has a GPS guided Finger of Doom, with a boner for my tank, that completely breaks my face in half. That's with Spall Liner too.. 50% of my hp gone in one shot. I swear this tank is nigh unplayable.

City maps on lowered rotation doesn't help either.

Heh, how come I used to have no such problems when in my IS-3 and could even take down IS-4/AusfB in it? And now that I have one myself, this happens all the time? Maybe the game is matching me up to fully upgraded IS-4 with my n00b IS-4 (which is basically on par with an IS-3), I can't think of anything else.

btw, -1 for my previous post, really?, i wonder who was the tard....
anyway, back on track, lupus, yeah, it's not your problem, it's the guided laser batteries of doom and their predilection for high tier tanks, you'll never survive two T6 arty hits (but you will survive 6 to 8 shots of T9 and T10 tanks....: and i'll stop here before devolving into the obvious issues about op arty and getting -1 votes from trolltards...

you have the stock is4?, then you'll die even easier, wait for the second turret it adds 200HP, at least you'll survive for when the second magic-nuke hits ;)

without spall-liner it's impossible

Not completely stock, got Tracks Engine Radio and 122mm BL-9 gun + Spall Liner.

bl-9 sucks on the is4, and you probbaly already know that from the IS3 days :D (it's weird, in the IS3 it felt good, but on the IS4, it feels... turd-y, like mounted on the is4 bounces far more and does far less damage than on the IS3, maybe it's because you usually shoot bigger and badder tanks than what you usually shot on the IS3... i mean... good luck trying to kill a VK4502 with the BL-9 toy-gun).

once you get the upg turret let us know how you feel  :Smile_great:
