12 shells is more than enough, that's like more than 8 minutes of continuous firing assuming that you fire as soon as a round is loaded...

This may be true for 90% of battles, but you still get some games where you run out of shells and have nothing left to do but scout or try and cap (which always sucks). This is not the case with all arty (i.e. 212 has 40 rounds for the same gun, which is HUGELY EXCESSIVE), and it's not a problem that you'll run into almost every game like you would with the SU-5, but it's still something people should be aware of as a potential weakness.
