Hi all,

I'm a guest from Europe, and while surfing your US Forum, I found out that the issue here was solved on EU Forum. So:

I play WoT almost a full year now. Started as Arty. Long, long time ago I’ve noticed that in some matches my shells go right on the money, and in some they stray as far as possible. I’ve learned to live with that. Then I’ve switched to tanks – same story. In certain matches, I hit/pen everything in my sight, in series of few matches, an then the bad batch comes – my aiming circle is steady, way smaller than the target, and I miss, or can’t pen a KV with my BL-9. Couple of matches of that, then the uncanny precision/pen in other group of matches…

There’s a certain dude who solved the issue. All the credits go to him.

If you are interested to know why those variations happen, please read his blog.

All the best from Europe!

PS
Sorry for my English, not my native.

he didn't explain anything, he just gave another tin-foil hat baloney explanation. He even said it was so himself.

This is how it REALLY works. Like values are matched together, in an attempt to create teams with like final values.http://i177.photobuc...makingChart.png

It's not a matter of matching the teams, but of determing a winner. Huge difference there.

Nice blog. However, the conclusion is unscientific. I tend to agree the observation. In some art match, the shell keeps hitting; then the next match, miss miss miss. There maybe something in the RNG and MM.

However, look at top win rate ranking, people are padding Win rate stats to 80% with only one or a few tanks. That would throw this guy's conclusion out of the window.

Are they all low tier tanks?

In even larger news, conspiracy theorists have discovered that a coin flipped will land on one particular side nearly 50% of all flips.  The lead scientist suspects that while Masons may be involved, it is primarily an operation by the Bilderberg Group.  Others believe that is most likely a smokescreen to deflect attention away from the Trilateral Commission.

NOTHING he said is true, to our knowledge. It's a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory, and that's it. He even said it himself. It would be nice if it really did work that way, to a certain extent, but it's not. All the MM does is move tanks according to the MM chart.

I'd like to know why when I passed 6000 battles, suddenly half of my former favorite tanks the accuracy went to hell.. yeah yeah tinfoil hat time. But watching my elited su-85 send shots outside the circle at 350 meters is maddening. Same with the rest, especially those 1000k a pop rounds

Didnt take this blog post for me to figure out what the problem was..  I knew from the start since this last patch that it goes after win % now..  Which is why me with a once 55% win rate is now at 53% because i get shafted with the sucky teams now

If the MM is so intent on making me lose then why do I keep winning more and more as I learn? (see sig) Never spent a dime on the game by the way. By this guys theory at this point my shots should be practically flying out my ***.

It's a theory because we don't know if it's true or not. It's not immediately not-true. That's what theories are, speculation following intuition.

Your theory on theory shows your knowledge is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind. Perhaps you were talking about Creationism, blue moon cheese or the tooth fairy?

WOW...It had been a while since I looked at the chart.

T7 Heavys get the shaft don't they.  Up to a Battle Tier 12.

All of the Tier 8 gold tanks don't even get that treatment. (Cap at Battle Tier 11)

In fact the regular T8 Heavies get the same top end of Tier 12.

So yeah in your Tiger or soon your KV3, you can get pulled into a bigger battle than your Lowe, or KV5, or Type 59.  Just another benefit of having a Gold tank.

Explains why I'm seeing a T10 in 4 out of 5 of my Tiger matches.

I have 59% win rate on my IS-4, 58% win rate on my KV-5, all solo random-matches. But on tanks like patton and old tier 9 T34, I hover around 50~51%.

I like tanks with great armor for its tier (yes KV-5 has armor if you know how to hide R2D2 and reverse-peek) because when I can bounce over 90% of shells by reverse-peeking (you can do it anywhere that has enough cover to hide your hull), I can still hope for a win even if the whole team is filled with brain-dead players. But if you're driving tanks without armor, you are fu*ked if your team sucks and they die without doing much.

In the end, I don't think it is the RNG (random number generator for penetration, accuracy, and damage) that decides which team loses, but the quality of the players in each team. If you run win-rate mod for a couple of games, you'll see what I'm talking about.

This guy didn't explain anything.  He just pointed out the obvious:  Teams that work as teams win.

The number of kills you see next to your name doesn't necessarily mean you did your share of the workload.  I've had Wins where I had 0 kills to my name but 1400+ exp undoubled.  I've also had losses with 1000+ exp (and in my Panther it's not unexpected to get over 800 on a loss)

His theory isn't based on any kind of factual data, and MM is not designed to make you lose.

In closing if you want to believe that guy's drivel, you go right ahead. The rest of us are going to keep playing while you do it :)

A theory is something that is not proven. Otherwise it is fact and not theory. Creationism is just a different theory from evolution- both still have missing links (one more than the other, sure. I will leave it free to interpretation which to which), and this is why they are theory and not all-around fact.

Yes, they're both theories. But evolution makes sense. Creationism doesn't.

I have actually seen it play out the way he says....... Games when you should hit you miss ot it bounces.

Have yet to win a game where that happens. So yes to me it looks like WG has matchmaker configured to keep everyone average.

Personally I don't like spending my money to be just average.

I believe that is entirely up to interpretation. There is no right or wrong until all the evidence is in place. There is no speculation that is any less or more than another kind of speculation- in the end the only way to be entirely sure is to be dead, which kind of makes it a lot harder to prove on Creationism's end, I admit.
