When I saw KV3 going UP a tier, that had me seriously confused. Even fully upgraded, it was barely able to hold its own against other tier 6 tanks, much less higher teirs. If anything I would have though the KV-3 needed to move down to tier 5 keeping its stats and still be a mediocre tank at best.

Now playing it in the game, my fears were confirmed. They gave it a slightly upgraded 122mm (D-2-5T to D-25T? Really?), but the armor is just as bad as before meaning 2 or 3 decent shots from a tier 5 kills the now tier 7 KV3. The people that have figured this out are now camping WAY back instead of using them as a heavy tanks purpose: a front lines tank.

Otherwise, KV1 is more like a slow Medium, KV2 is same as KV, both are slow bulky and mediocre, but make good roadblocks when they die.

Also i believe that the KV-5 needs to go up to tier 9, or at least more weight in MM towards higher tiers. With all the changes, KV5 is just too tough for its own tier (I am sure the prem buyers will disagree since they want to keep it tier 8 and too tough).

um... the KV-3 has more armor than the tiger, and a similar gun (more damage for less pen) and thats elited, and to get a tiger elite is one pain in the behind

That is also possible in the IS, the IS-3, and some of the new tanks they added.  I am a KV-3 driver and love it more than I do my KV.  I am looking forward to the
new Tier level, change of pace?  Maybe, we will see.

The KV3 at tier 6 raped M6s and VK3601s.
It is perfect at tier 7. The only "tough" tanks at Tier 7 are the T29 and the Tiger P.

The KV5 needs to go UP a tier? How?! It is weakest tier 8 heavy tank period in all stats. Sure it has "great" frontal armor, but it has a pair of huge flaws in the armor.

Its armor is definitely far superior to the Tiger, but I really don't think that the 122 is a good gun. It may have alpha strike but damn is that accuracy bad.
KV-4 looks like a beast of a machine, but that's not relevant to the current topic.

Still has better armor than the tiger. Still has a much higher alpha gun than any other t7 while the pen ain't great it's good enough for t7. Still has higher top speed than the tiger.  With the bigger motor it's getting it's solving my only real complaint I had with the kv3 which is acceleration. It was always op for t6 hell most  tanks t5 and less couldn't even pen it. Now it's where it's armor made it belong with the upgrades it needs to compete at t7. I think it's a great decision.

KV-3 can't hold it's own against other tier 6s? This thing is a beast. The D-2-5T to the D-25T is like upgrading from the 100mm D10T to the LB-1. Nothing changed except for the RoF. That's an ok upgrade I guess.

There's a reason the KV-5 has good MM. And it's because of the pew-pew gun. Tier VII KV-5? Maybe. Tier IX KV-5? No way.

I'm not sure where you got that the KV and the KV-3 are mediums...

Definitely must be thinking of a different tank. I mean, my KV-3 was so bad ass that it bounced so much crap flung at it. Not to mention smacking small children with 122mm of inaccurate but jaw breaking pain. Tier 6 it was badassery to the extreme level, and definitely outmatched anything in its tier. Now, they upgrade the engine, give it more HP, give it the IS gun, and throw it out there at Tier 7. Guess what? Still a badass. Still smacking children, but now it takes less time to wind up and smack that poor childs face off.

KV-3 = Awesome Tier 6, Amazing tier 7.

EDIT: Also move the KV-5 to tier 9? Lol! What the hell! Shoot the R2D2 and make him cry! It's not hard to shoot the bloody thing. It in no way deserves tier 9, and barely deserves tier 8.

3001H, 3601H, E2 and E8s could all easily pop a KV3 in 2-3 shots for a kill. ARL44 and AMX 13 75 if shot accurately could also kill a KV3 in 3 shots. Yes M6 is the weakest heavy at tier 6, but the other tier 6 meds could make quick work of a KV3 solo... so this was a big surprise to see them move it up without also buffing its armor stats. So now it goes from second worst tier 6 tank, to worst tier 7 tank. A lot of players are already figuring this out and now sitting way back, refusing to go to the front lines, even if their KV3 is at the top/strongest tank in the battle.

errr everything about your post suggests your doing it wrong.

Having said that I have not played the new upgraded KV3 on test so will remember this when I play it live

TBH my M6 could already 1v1 KV-3's extremely easily, though I'm apparently an abnormality. I don't know how many M6's there are out there with BiA activated.

Those mediums 2 or 3 shotting a KV3. You are drinking way too much.

Must be that I see KV3 as weak since I kill so many of them using the other tanks I mentioned, meaning it has to be bad. Even playing the KV3 myself, i am easily killed by everything tier 5+ despite being hidden, camo'd, or no weak spots showing... still with 6,000+ battles under my belt, KV3 is still a poor tank from all the games I have seen..
