Good morning everyone,

i am here to express my emo rage about the Patton. I am a 53%+ WR player who passed trough T20 and Pershing loving the medium tank gameplay and doing pretty well at it. But playing Patton really feels like i am underpowered compared to all other endgame tanks. I am still to upgrade the to the last gun (105 mm Gun T5E1M2), but it looks like my armor is made of paper, because i can´t get (almost) any bounces.

- I´ve tried close fight gameplay with the 105mm PH M4L23. I die too easy, because every hit i take is like losing an arm. Big damages.
- Can´t snipe with 105mm PH M4L23, obviously. The 105mm loses all pen and dmg as you fire more distant (and its accuracy is a whooping ,55)
- My 90mm T15E2M2 isnt penetrating much at far distances.  (trying to play snipe)
- The last 90mm gun (90mm M36) is WORST than the second to last gun.

I am really dissapointed with Patton and i probably wont be using it anymore. Anyone care to tell me anything usefull about this tank before i sell it? Any tips?

What you do is like a Lowe and hide in the furthest corner of the map behind a rock, it seems to work very well for them...

Patton, advantage of it is firing on the move and DPM. Best way to use it would be wolfpack with others and hit at a weakpoint in defence.

Patton is also a great scout in high tier rooms because of its forward turret and hugh viewrange.

But I agree, compared to the Bat, T54 and E50, Patton appears rather mediocre.

No, it's not the worst endgame tank (it's pretty good actually), but you will get put in a lot of high tier games in the Patton compared to the Pershing and T20 so you need to play it differently -- you have to play more like a scout in a lot of games, spotting and staying alive behind cover. If you get a good opportunity to flank or push with a medium/fast heavy wolfpack, go for it, but in a lot of matches that won't happen and you should just focus on scouting and looking for opportunities to do some damage (it has excellent view range and gun depression, try to use that to your advantage).

No it isnt, and you havent fully upgraded the tank yet so its pretty bad to judge it before that.

I have played almost 700 games in the patton and it is by no means enferior. its one of my favorate mediums.

You forgot to mention any of the positives , final gun great DPS,  great gun depression, great accuracy on the move.

the tank its self, very good maneuverability, turret traverse, track treverse are great.

it has the same power to weight ratio as the other mediums excluding the batchat.

it also has a great view range too. It also has good all round ability, as for the armor I dont pay attention to it much because im in a med, its my extra maneuverability that saves me not my armor.

Basically the patton has the best 'soft stats' out of all of the meds. stats that are not so obvious.

also take note that if you havent fully kitted out the tank with a very good crew (2-3 secondary abilities), and equipment (vertical stabalizer, crew vent etc)  its probably going to have a disadvantage in high tier matches because the other guys will most likely have the tank fully kitted out.  my guess is you are getting that disadvantage and automatically assume that the tank is bad.

Yep, I just got my Patton, and I am wondering why I didn't do it sooner. Good support tank.

Problem with patton for random matches is that it is a support tank. So if your team sucks, and they end up dead without doing much, patton can't do much to turn the tide of the battle and the total lack of armor doesn't help either.

but if your team is decent, then patton shines at "supporting" the team. But don't expect to play patton like a MBT: you need armor to do that (try T110E5 or T-54 if you want mobile tank that can bounce shots. IS-7 is not mobile, it has high top speed but it accelerates slower than T110E5 and only goes at 30~kp/h flat ground).

and plz plz don't use a 105mm HE derp on any tank higher than tier 6. You are gimping the team by using a very very subpar gun. The long 90mm gun can do decently enough on patton to finish the grind towards the 105mm AP gun.

My suggestion for upgrade path: suspension -> mount long 90mm -> 105mm gun (the non-howitzer) -> engine -> upgraded turret

Don't have a Patton, do have an E-50, and my early experience was similar. The game is different when you get to tier 9 mediums. It's especially bad if you don't have it fully upgraded. You will be in tier 10 matches most of the time, so get used to it. It's going to require some time and experience to learn how to play the tank well. And money, for that matter, because tier 9 mediums are expensive to run.

Patton is bad.... Are you kidding me???

You've only played 30 matches in the Patton without it being fully upgraded to its primary gun which is the best of all the mediums.

Add to that you havent played a single match in the other tanks you mentioned....

What are you basing any of this on?

Patton is not that bad. I would not list it as the worst  endgame tank.

Why are you saying a tank bad before you unlock everything. i find most of the tanks to be underpowered at stock, please do not comment if the tank is good or not before you unlock everything

The Patton without its gun is  not a Patton at all
