OP-4

If the IS-4 is obsolete in CW, then so is the T110... which it actually is. Many of the CLs in my clan do not even pretend to think the T110 is worth using in CW. I disagree and think it is a very viable tank, but I am not a leader or a tactician. The IS-4 has 200 more HP, 40 more alpha, slightly better potential for repositioning unless it is uphill from the T110. The T110 has phenomenal armor, in ONE spot. The debate is senseless because we will not know how well it performs outside of battles that don't resemble CW, other than the gold rounds, or pub matches where predominately silver rounds are used. They will buff the tank somehow. Probably add another 200mm spaced armor in the front or something. What we should all be watching is that IS-8. That tank is already borderline OP. I like it.

IS-8 needs better mobility so I can have 2 T9 Russian mediums
.
I pretty much agree with Carbon, the IS-4 currently is pretty damn unspecialized to the point of not being any good. The IS-8 and IS-4 currently share roughly the same RPM/DPM, which is, BAD. 2462 damage per minute (maximum) is terrible for a tank that cruises at ~28-32kph depending on surface and really has no saving graces as far as protection goes, along with the gun declination taking a massive hit.
It's not fast, it's not mobile, it's not a good alpha tank, it's a terrible DPM tank, it has no real armor competitively and it has nothing special as far as camo and vision go. If bland was a skillset that was needed in UC the IS-4 would get used. Correction, the milquetoast-4.

So...a faster tank with better front armor with a higher DPM and just as good pen and better accuracy with much better repositioning...has no place in CW?
The T110 is an amazing tank for CW. The IS-4 is a bad IS-7 in every way except health, accuracy, pen, and reload rate by levels that don't differentiate it.
The T110 has use. It's niche, but it has use. The IS-4 has no use at the moment.
