I finally did what I have been meaning to do for a while, SOLD the Maus \o/ - I had gotten used to it, but being the BIG arty magnet it is gets kinda boring after having IS-4 and 7 and even T54 running circles around and raping me I thought I better get rid before I get totally dis-enchanted with it.

Yes it had 500hp more, but that means nothing, ask any maus driver he will tell ya :)

The armor weak points that should not be present on the front especially, still remain so it lasts maybe 1 more shot from is-4/7 well any tier 10.

So they did not REALLY fix anything, just threw on a few more HP to shut us up, oh well, it was fun while it lasted rodent, RIP.

Roll on T54 rape and is-4 and 7 ownage after soft wipe \o/

The maus has 1000 HP more then IS7, the mudguards are being fixed next patch, the IS7 is getting a nerf(Said somewhere in russian forums) and people still whine about it.

Yes. We do. Because its all in the great bright future when we'd have 5 different tech trees, working dual weapons on tanks, the Euro replacing our Lev and so on and so forth. But thats not NOW. Its not today. Today and most likely for a looong time to come, IS series will rule. Any questions? I have no intention of shutting up because someone promised to fix things eventually if he has nothing else planned sometime in the near or very far future. Also, post links on IS7 getting a nerf or go hide under your bridge.

I'm pretty sure I recall Overlord saying the Maus will never get the 150mm?

I might be wrong so doubt quote me on that, just have a feeling I remember seeing it.

If you're right ... Maus will be the weakest tier 10 in the game ... pity... <_<

So do I, think it was something in the line with "...we gave up on implementing the 150mm gun on the maus... E-series..yadayada, etc"

No whitehyena is right i think. The devs thought about the 150mm but they dropt this idea and will the maus giev some other improvements. Overlord said this in another thread before the last patch where we get the hp buff.
Anyway, i will get the maus again after the softwipe and after the hardwipe. I love this tank so much and i have to little smiling about the mauswhiner sorry guys^^

IS-7 prototype wasn't for an MBT, it was for a heavy tank. The entire IS-series, to include the IS/T-10 were heavy tanks. The MBTs spawned off of the T-44 and T-54.

There really is no point arguing with his point.  He is correct in stating that one is older.  The core issue here is the throwing together of a vast number of different bizarre armored vehicles that never fought each other and attempting to balance that.

That is the core issue.

Also, not that it would matter in the least but the maus is screwed over by one simple fact.  It's design is not implemented 100% in the game due to the 75mm not being fireable.  Like I said it wouldn't offer anymore blatant help to the tank but I really think it's crappy that it's not an extra option.  Hopefully soon they will put it closer to what it was.

Funny how the general idea for the "fixed" Maus seems to be to make it a wholly impenetrable 360-degree-coverage brick of armor that can only be slowly whittled down 5-7% at a time with high-caliber HE or gold ammo fired from multiple barrels aimed at specific points, enabling any Maus driver to singlehandedly ruin a match for the other team by forcing them, even if they're competent enough to know to ignore him until necessary, to make him the primary target lest they find themselves undermanned and/or undergunned when it comes time to deal with him.

As I've always said.

1.  Tiger tanks were historically lethal.  In a game like this with so many other variants of tanks on the field they are merely another heavy.  I'm guessing the tiger whines referred to it's historical performance and attempt to show it perform subpar to that.  Well, it will unless it's top tier tank.

2.  If a tank is simply powerful then it just is.  The maus was meant to be a pillbox with a snorkel and gun.   Even in the bizarre unrealistic fights we can have in the game it shouldn't be taken down easily.  If there are armor issues and gun issues they need to be addressed.  The biggest one being the tank was designed to use(I admit it's worthless but no less important) a secondary armament.  It's like the m3 lee.  The lee is total drek.  It probably would have performed historically as crappy as it does in the game if it couldn't use it's turret as well.  Not comparing total capabilities mind you of those two tanks but I am stating they are both missing a VITAL aspect of their design to make them 100% and that CANT be argued.
