Ok, so I decided to make a sound/voice pack for myself, and I managed to get it all sorted, untill you actually go ingame.

The sound when the game starts is fine, the sound when you lock and unlock your autoaim is fine, but I can't get the Damaged track / Broken Track / Track is fixed, and all of those damaged / broken / fixed sounds to work at all.

Another issue I am having is with crit / hit / bounce sounds, I used to have a sound that I found to be WAY to loud so I changed it to another file, but now it doesn't seem to want to work at all. It's mostly .wav and .ogg files, I know both of those work since start/kill/death are different and still work.

I did get the sound from a pen once, but after that it just stopped, bouncing never worked.

But I had these problem with soundpacks I used which was made pre 7.2, but those worked sometimes, mine just doesn't.

Any idea what might be causing this? I tried switching it around abit, using different sounds, but it doesn't seem to make any difference sadly.

Thoughts? Ideas? Solutions?:P

Too many possibilities. Upload your fev/fsb/fpd files, and I will examine them.

did you edit something in your voice pack folder? thats probably why your voice pack crashed or wont work

*Edited out since it was broken*

Ok there, it's uploaded on speedyshare, if there's any problem I'l try some other place..

You have, officially, made the weirdest sound mod that I have ever heard. What have you been smoking?  :Smile-playing:

With that said, I don't see any glaring errors. The armor_pieced_crit_by_player is a complex Event, and that could be part of the problem for that Event. Also, go to Events > Categories. See how the ingame_voice/notifications_VO/armor_pierced_crit_by_player is not part of the ingame_voice folder? Click and drag it into there with the rest of the Event.

As for why the damage to tracks/etc are not working, I just don't see it.

I make my builds as mp3, not PCM. I use all mp3 files for my sound bites. I don't use complex Events for this mod type, only for those requiring 3D effects. In my build, I do Max Streams of 20.

Also, make sure the sounds you use are all equally loud. Otherwise, the Events might not pass the Just fail if quietest.

If all else fails, rebuild from scratch following my tutorial and using my template.

Uhm... Thanks? xD It's abit of Starcraft 2 Zerg sounds ._.

Yea I ain't got a clue on how to actually make the sounds the same 'loudness' and aint got a clue on how to change the file type either from .ogg, since thats a new one for me :P BUT! It does appear to be working mostly now I think, I am not sure I got the observation device thou, but I am getting crit hits on them and on my tracks.

But I'm assuming there's an issue when more than one item gets critted?

You can use Audacity to amplify and convert the sound files.

You currently have it set up to play only one simultaneous Event.

Hmm ok, I changed the Maximum spawned sounds now, and I do get em after eachother now, but the issue I am now faced with is the fact that I don't seem to get the sound on each pen, I get it on most but bounces still don't APPEAR to work, they might I need to do abit more checking on that.

But thank you for your help :)

OH yea, where is the "Fail if to quiet" option? I want to turn it off -_-'

I am just waiting for any of my mates to get on so I can take em into a training battle and see if I can get them working properly  :Smile-hiding:
