The red silohuettes need to go away.  Period.  The rounds of a bl10 or a t30 should not bounce off a dang arty or a kv rear.  I have friends who are not wanting to play because of this.  I actually just had a friend in ts3 who gave it another try and quit within 10 mins because of this stuff that dont make sense.  A person should not be painted red for all to see.  A tank should be put on the minimap only, and then you need to look for them in your scope.  What is this point and click here they are just point shoot.  It should be mroe challenging than this.

I can't believe I failed at voting checkbox...

But no, this is a horrible idea. This isn't a tank sim.

No. How else will you hit someone in a bush and not ping all the time? Just because they're in a bush they deserve to be invulnerable?

It's there to give you a point of reference when the visuals are impaired.

so you just want a game that is super easy and just point click.  you dont want nothing challenging?  Dont want to have to have your brain think to hard?

Yes!  A million times over, "yes!"

The red outline is the single biggest easy-mode arcade feature in the game.  It allows people to see through objects, it allows people to aim at teensy-weensy exposed sections that they'd most likely not see at all.  It ruins the actual visual effect of the camo patterns outside of the retarded RNG spotting mechanics which are complete horse shit anyways.

I F'ing hate the red outlines.  Isn't it enough to have a giant floating icon above the tank once it's spotted?

People would actually have to use their damn eyeballs instead of just dragging the crosshair all over the area below the floating icons.

Would love to see it go but it's such a built-in crutch by now that I assume 90% of the playerbase would flip out if it was removed.

Edit:  LOL, and they are already flipping out with the -reps http://forum.worldof...Smile_smile.gif

your right it is a crutch for the handicap in the game.  Most here need a wheelchair to aim, it seems.

What if you're fighting an angled tank destroyer in a bush? You can't see from which angle it's facing you, it hits you perfectly each time- for 10+ shots, all your shots ping instantly. When you think you have him it turns out he turned just a slight bit- you then die after not having been able to hit him once with a good dozen shots, because he was in a bush and you weren't.

of course they going to say no, because you couldnt hit the broad side of a barn without it.

huh dude, if he is angled and you cant see how he is angled, then its vice-versa you cant see him and he cant see you.  So, your both dont have any advantage, duh.

I don't have a single tier 8 and above with under 80% hit ratio, you shut your mouth.

you talk as if the other guy is somehow gonna have a advantage, no one will have it.  Everyone will be much more blind to what they can see, as it should be

How do you not realize that the bush would also block the TD's view of you...?

While I'm not the biggest fan of the red outlines try playing the game at lower resolutions. It gets very very tough to see anything when it is all various shades of brown and green and a distant tank is made of relatively few pixels. There are just limitations to this sort of thing if you want to have a big enough client base to be economically viable.

Bushes become more and more transparant the closer you are to them in first person view.

Also, they are transparancy enabled textures, you will be able to see through tiny gaps in the texture- those gaps won't be visible for you between two branches.

Only as a separate play type, also people would abuse it by removing bushes to give them an advantage.

Because the TD can move to put gun outside of bush then back up into it and it still sees you and you do not see it.

This is really of no consequence either way, lets say its a 1vs1 match, one is in a bush and one isn't, no one will see what part of each other they are hitting anyway, so, all in all it makes little difference, however with it I think is much better because you are not 100% blind when fighting someone in a bush.

So if the TD isn't ever spotted and is hitting you over and over what difference does the red outline make?  You'd never see it anyways because the TD wouldn't ever be spotted...
