Hi!

After playing for about a year, this game is one of my favorites and my first and maybe last online game. However I have some ideas about how to improve some aspects of the game and expand it:

1) Wouldn't be interesting to have some anti-tank guns like the ones seen in Company of Heroes or similar games? Of course mobility would be far worse than anything else in the game, but they could have superior penetration/HP, view range and frontal armor. I think they would add one more aspect on the game. Their mobility would be via another vehicle or even infantry...
2) In general, it may be nice to also import anti-tank infantry squads and machine guns to the tanks.
3) Also why the tanks don't have people inside? I don't think it would add that much to processing burden, but it would really add to the realism/aesthetics of the game.
4) I think it would be better to improve the damage model of the tanks while playing. Track problem? Let it be shown on the tank. Engine problem? Import some heavy black smoke. Armor/HP decrease? Show holes on the tank.
And finally, but really important IMHO:
4) Every building should be destructible, even after several shots. Especially artillery should have the ability to even demolish a bridge or a building uncovering the hiding tanks.

These were just some ideas. Sorry if some are brought up again...

I think Tds in this game are considered as the anti-tank guns.

When the historical battle mode comes out, maybe.

atg's and infantry just wouldn't last with the arty accuracy. they would really have to re-work the whole game to add them.

Before people shoot down your ideas, I actually agree with some of what you say. More buildings should be destructible, and extra weapons (like machine guns) should be added to tanks for ballistic ranging. Sadly we'll probably see neither of these things until a WoT2 comes out but it's good to dream.

As for 1), I'm all for increased diversity/variety but what advantages would this have over self-propelled TDs? More camo, sure, but they would lose so much that I can't really imagine a way to make it practical. Unless you had control of two or three guns in a firing troop, but that raises control issues.

Regarding 3), I think animating the crews is more of a challenge than you might think. Because of the huge variety of guns and vehicles in the game, the animators can't just make one or two sets of actions to work for everything. Each tank, TD, and SPG would need to be scratch-built based not only on the hull but the kind of turret you have on and the gun you've mounted. That's A LOT of work, and while I'd love to see my crew members scrambling to load the next round, I can forgive Wargaming for focusing on other things instead.

4) I'm pretty sure (as in, absolutely sure) that tanks show holes and scratches when they're penetrated or hit. As for track damage, same thing, when a vehicle is tracked it flies off and looks damaged. Engine smoke would be neat though, to single out the slow member of a pack at a glance.

Neat suggestions, but most of this stuff would probably need a sequel to be implemented.

But then my basic tactic of always hiding behind the churches and mosques wouldn't work anymore. Even if you dont know the rest of the map, it's a safe bet that those buildings are indestructible

Some of you I think overreact :Smile_great: These are just some ideas!!
Anyway, for me its not realistic to hide behind a non destructible building! You can hide behind a rock, but buildings should eventually fall down.

I have a feeling u r joking, but the whole point of playing against humans and AI is that u must always think of new tactics

So, my tank gets tracked.. The crew is supposed to fix the track in 10 seconds while under direct HMG fire?  Hells no!   This is World Of Tanks, Not BF1942 or one of those. This is a tank arcade game.
