Which tier 3 would you prefer? I had the PzKpfw 38 NA and I didn't like it, so I started over. Now I can get either the PzKpfw lll Ausf. A or PzKpfw ll Luchs. Thanks.

It depends if you want to be a scout or a medium tank. The Ausf. A leads to the German medium line. The Luchs leads to the German light line, which ends at the tier 5 VK 2801.

The Ausf. A also leads to the other side of the german heavy tree. Just for reference, the Leopard (the tier 4 tank after the luchs) would get the same mm and basically behave the same way as the PzKpfw 38na.

That's true, but the Leo is faster and more maneuverable than the 38na.

I'd say go Panzer Ausf. A.  Now don't get me wrong, the Ausf. A is a piece of crap.  But it leads to the Panzer III, and the Panzer III is a monster.  Light-class speed and mobility, 70mm of armor, and a decent 50mm gun makes it a hoot at low tiers, AND it doesn't get shafted in Matchmaking like the Leopard does.  In many ways it's a better tank for scouting than the Leopard is.

fgo for pz 3 A, pz 3 is an epic tier 4, not to mention you get the beast engine on the pz 3/4 and its a lot of fun.

like stated before, it depends of the line you want. though you can  get both!  I never really liked the ausf A but the luchs is awesome.
I would say maneuverability wise the luchs has the upper hand. the thing turns on a dime and losses little speed.
its line is small and is just scouts
the ausf A how ever is faster, and much easier to hide. its line leads to high tier meds and heavies.
the 2 share weapons though so thats not much to worry about.

good luck...and chose well :Smile-playing:

Basically, what mini bolo said. So very much what mini bolo said. 3a isn't anything special but a fully kitted out 3 in the hands of a capable player is a monster. Personally I loved the stubby 75 on the 3 for some high speed derping action.

Don't get rid of the 38 nA before finishing the run to the PZ IV, despite the tough grind. After the Soviet heavy tree re-work it's going to be even more of a favorite for best Tier 5, since the KV-1 is somewhat reduced in power from the current KV.
