Anybody interested in developing a preliminary Euro Tank Tree?
I found this and thought it was pretty cool.

Would like to know what that thing is. It looks very much like a bitser (a bit of this, a bit of that). Suspension looks like US torsion bar style, but drive and idler sprockets look like they're off a Panzer III or IV. The cast front hull also looks somewhat early US style. Haven't got a clue about the turret and gun, not without more information or detail.

AMX-40 + Panzer = ??
Looks like something you need a crack team of surgeons to remove.

The chance to play with tanks from Italy is about the only thing I would look foreward too. The Axis minors should just be premium tanks at best. Same for Poland and possibly Sweden as well. The problem with this so called "Combined/ Amalgamated Pan European Tree" is the fact that only the countries represented now and in the immediate future (i.e. UK and Japan) actually built Heavy tanks and tanks that could climb the tech tree to tiers 9 and 10. The best Italy could muster is (by my calculations) about tier 6 for tanks and probably tier 7-8 for arty and TDs. (note: arty would probably start around tier 5 or 6.) All other nations that interdependently built tanks during that period did not build heavy tanks and could at best muster up to tier 5 or so across the board. Sweden would be the only exception, with a possible tier 9 medium tank if you consider their Centurions and maybe one heavy tank. So basically this tree would just be a giant low tier, light tank clusterf*ck up to about tier 4 or so and thin out from there with only a few tanks at the top tiers, maybe.

Speaking of, I'd love an S-Tank. Tier 7 or 8 TD? Maybe 9 if they can make up a bigger gun for it. Infanterikanonvagn 91 might also be interesting.
It looks kinda like the Swedes and Italians would make up a fair bit of the Euro tree.

I'd indeed like a just for fun "European cross-nation clusterf*ck" tree.
I'd already have a small italian tree.
L6/40----------->M13/40--------> M14/41 (Same tank, better modules)
(Tier 1/2?)----->M15/42--------> P40 (Heavier med, not real heavy)
___\\________(Tier 2-3, meds?)--------(Tier 3-4?)

_____\\____________________________________________________________
_____ \----------------->Artillery line, all the way to the 149/40 SPG (http://en.wikipedia....emovente_149/40)

Why do all nations need heavies up to tier 10? I see no problem with a tree that ends at tier 5, and I'd definitely play it, at least for the novelty factor.
I'm not saying that all nations should have a tech tree go up to tier 10, but the prevailing system that is in place practically demands it for any individual nation represented in WoT. If anything, I too would play a truncated Italian tree and wouldn't be bothered in the least if it stopped at tier 6. What they could do though, especially for nations like Poland, Czechoslovakia and Romania would be something like a Premium Tech Tree. That way you can buy a full tree and grind through like any other nation. The cost would simply depend on how many tanks were in that particular tree. I know it sounds like such a douche way for WG to nickel and dime us but think about it, could you honestly turn down a full Italian or Hungarian tech tree for say, the cost of a KV-5 or T34? Or a Romanian one for the cost of a Ram? I probably would and I'm a total cheap-ass.

Yeah, I've seen his TT and it's pretty good, though I do have some issues with it. Chief among them being a: I don't think the prototype P.40 would be significant enough to go into the tree and therefore, the P.40 and P.43 should be moved down to tiers 5 and 6 respectively. And b: I have not been able to find any info about that mysterious tier 2 arty. All of my projections have 3 or so artys in the tree starting around tier 5. TDs would also be expanded as well, possibly reaching as high as tier 8 but that's being generous. But even so, I would kill or at the very least maim to have such a tree.

Oh crap, just looked at the date of those threads. I'm gonna get negative rep for necroposting now.
Anyway, what would a European tech tree have without Italian tanks?
