Oh crap, just looked at the date of those threads. I'm gonna get negative rep for necroposting now.

Anyway, what would a European tech tree have without Italian tanks?

Quite a bit actually. You still have Poland, Czechloslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Sweden, Belgium had a couple, uh, I think Yugoslavia may have had one, Spain and although they're not European; Argentina. The only problem is, as I stated earlier, with all these nations in one tree, it'll just be one giant low tier clusterf*ck.

Hmmm... Well looking at it a Euro tree might not be that hard to build at low tiers I think we could make it to tier 5 and with both tanks and tds (see TACAM R-2 or 43M Zrinyi for ex.). Arty is a little harder but we can look to places like Spain's Verdeja program. Flipping through data I see Austria had a SK-105 Curraiser which has an AMX-13 turret, a light tank I suppose. Now I suppose a Euro tree is pretty hard to build (maybe we should just call it the minor nation tree and just drag up other indegenous tank designs). But hey! It would be an interesting tree since we'd have everything from oscilating turreted tanks to tankettes. Talk about a variety of capabilities, no tree member would be the same.

Uhh.. I have a question.
What does the OP refer as "Euro tank tree"?
The game scales roughly from the post-ww1 era material to late korean war stuff with few exceptions.
And the three of the soon five nations will be in the European area.

So.. Would this just mash all the tanks into one tree from the German / British / French trees?

Not exactly. When they/ we talk about the Amalgamated European Tech Tree what were referring to are all the other nations in Europe that built tanks that are not fully represented in this game. Nations like Italy, Hungary, etc. that had their own indigenous tank development and building programs but are too limited (in game terms) to be applied to a single tree. Some nations, such as Sweden, had more advanced tank building programs and can flesh out a fairly substantial, though still quite limited TT, where as Spain or Belgium had only one or two tanks that were developed in the games time frame.

Sheesh, that thing must have no elevation/ depression. Still an interesting concept though, it would be hell to face one of those when they're hull down.

I get the feeling the tree will be mostly Swedish and Italian.

And I am cool with that.

Actually, it has a top speed of 45 kmph, weighs 26 tonnes, and has 2 170 hp engines for a total of 340 horsepower for about 13 horsepower/tonne, so it shouldn't be too slow and it's armed with a 75 mm gun. Tier 5 medium, mayhaps?

Yeah, I've seen his TT and it's pretty good, though I do have some issues with it. Chief among them being a: I don't think the prototype P.40 would be significant enough to go into the tree and therefore, the P.40 and P.43 should be moved down to tiers 5 and 6 respectively.  And b: I have not been able to find any info about that mysterious tier 2 arty. All of my projections have 3 or so artys in the tree starting around tier 5.  TDs would also be expanded as well, possibly reaching as high as tier 8 but that's being generous. But even so, I would kill or at the very least maim to have such a tree.

I also had a fit finding info on the tier 2 105 spg . After some looking, I finally found a photo with some info. Its called the Semovente105/14 and basically its the renault  ft-17 with its turret removed and a 105mm put in its place. Its prototype was built in 1919 and 12 were slated to be built but the order was cancelled. Here is the address for the site I found www.landships.com.
