Ok, just some sort of explaining/advise needed here. I just had a event that makes no sense to me. I was going up against another t28 when I got him down to 14 hp and I was at 160hp. I was hidden behind buildings so no enemy arty was involved nor were any other enenmy tanks. He came over to our base that I was protecting along with 2 artys. He came behind the building where i was. I was at a stand still hitting him every time. My artys were also shooting at him. He took me out. how?????????????

How do you view replay Whee? GenPanzer I am honestly trying to figure out what I did wrong so keep your useless comments to yourself. Rathios1337, he had 2 artys shooting at him including me, He was down to 14 HP's and I had over half mine. Can having an 85 on really go against those odds?

Yes. You say you had 160hp remaining; that means you were one-shottable by the 85mm, which easily penetrates wherever he hits you.

yep I got the 85mm... that thing is nasty. Still dont see how he did it tho...

Its simple. HE shells for the 85mm F-30 average 280 points of damage(min 210-350 max) if they penetrate. Since we can safely say everything penetrates a T-28, case is closed if he had the 85mm F-30 equipped.
160hp < 210 point minimum HE shell dam of the 85mm F-30.
AP shells vary between 120 & 200 points. So he either fired a High Explosive shell(if he was experienced, he prob did since he knew it would pen you) or he rolled high for damage with an armor-piercing shell.

This, never underestimate HE shells if you have no armor. I personally never use HE much on anything but the most armored of opponents if need be but it is smart play to know when and how to use HE. However if he had the 85 he could easily take off 160 health in a single blow, that's just how powerful that gun is.
