Dear Tankers
If you have this problem when in game ( Red Screen ) then this is what you have to do to solve it
The 3Gb switch is often used to fix memory problems in 32bit windows environments (increases the program memory allocation).
Enable the 3GB switch on Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit)
• Right-click Command Prompt in the Accessories program group of the Start menu. Click Run as Administrator.
• At the command prompt, enter "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072"
• Restart the computer.
No more Red Screen from now on
Best regards

Now this is only god IF you have 3gb or more ram to be able to use right?? Or can this be used for people with say only 2gb of memory and are unable to upgrade there pc's with more ram at the current moment do to real life issues or the pc owner being a dick and not wanting to upgrade someone pc that they are allowing them to use.

I take it your running the game on 2gb right ? you need more dedicated memory for the game

I'm only using 2gb of ram too. The only time I've seen the red screen in sniper mode was in the 7.3 test server. Screen is fine in 7.2 using sniper mode.
But, I have to admit that I have been getting "low memory" alerts periodically while playing 7.2. So I'm looking into getting 2x2gb sticks to give me 4gb of ram since my original sticks are a little old.
Btw, running Windows XP Home 32bit.

Note there is a /3GB switch for XP but if you have a ATI/AMD video card using the 3GB switch disables hardware acceleration making the system useless for gaming. WOT won't even open, it just gives an error complaining that hardware acceleration is required to run the program.
http://www.lightwork...0461&Itemid=269 discusses this issue with a graphics program not a game but the issue is the same and it's been around for years.

If you have XP and an AMD/ATI card there is nothing you can do. If you have XP and Nvidia or Intel graphics you can try the /3GB switch.

Yes I have a 2gb ram machine with windoze seven. But it also looks like I can not use this switch as i have an ATI graphics card. I have been thinking of getting a new Nvida card. I got one for my backup pc (sadly it has more ream than my main) And I like it a lot. I would try to play on the backup PC but it is only a single 2.4 core cpu and 3 gig ram on a windozes xp pro OS. But I get major fps lag and looooooooooooooooong load times/ and freezes.

I just recently switched to a nVidia card, so maybe I'll be ok with the 3gb switch. My motherboard has an AMD Northbridge and an ATI Southbridge chipset.

Ok, so here is my current problem playing 7.2. I get a message during a battle that says I am low on memory, and that the game is setting my textures to low.
I have 2gb of ram, a nVidia GTX 550 (TI) 1gb video card, AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ cpu.
I am planning to add 2 more gb's of ram to my rig.

Is this working for anyone? I have never had this problem until yesterday. I restarted the game and all was well. Then, just now, during a clan war match, I had it again.
This is going to be VERY frustrating.

Exact same with me. Had no problems playing last night, went to play just a bit ago and my video driver crashed repeatedly, even after a restart and verifying that I had the latest video drivers. Specs (via Speccy) on my not shiny new but still very capable PC:

This is not an OS or hardware issue. This issue is a memory leak problem with the game engine. This can be fixed with coding by programmers.
The computer game room in my area has replicated this issue on 6 different systems (4 different processors, 3 different OS, 6 different video cards).
The tested ststems range from 2GB - 8GB RAM with ATI, nVidia, Intel video cards with 256mb-2GB on-board memory. Tweaking the video cards with MSI Afterburner does not correct the issue.
The 3GB memory switch is a poor fix as it can cause issues with other games and conflict with other programs and processes running. The memory leak seems to be related to the change in shading in 7.0 or 7.1.
Post processing, vert sync, reducing graphics, are all inconsistent\ineffective non- solutions to corrective game code.
Edit: What kind of troll down-votes a factual post that answers the subject?

The issue is NOT exclusive to Dragon's Ridge. Dragon's Ridge takes the most system memory to render and why most red and black screen sniper mode crashes occur on that map.

My Dear
I had the red screen issue occur almost in every match and on every map but when i switched on my 3G switch i never had any problems , so the conclusion was that my OS was not able to digest the amount of memory , anyway try it like i did and say good bye to the red screen , and +1 for you cuz i dont like to see anyone in my forum with a negative
Best regards

If you do not mnind an incorrect "fix" that compromises your system. Try running a movie, open Abobe Photoshop with Effects and a few other applications and see how your system handles a reduced 1GB kernal core memory. Not to mention that the 3GB fix is not a 100% fix for all.
Wanna defend WG for a lack of response and inability to correct the issue in a timely manner?
+1 for you because a head-in-the-sand makes it easy to overlook the problem.

My Dear Tanker
If your OS is running on 32bit with 4 GB ram then turn on the 3G switch and say good bye to the red screen

Wrong. It is not a 100% fix for 32 bit, 4MB Ram systems.
