As per the announcement.
What we know:
We will have a gathering in Indianapolis on the evening of 09MAY12 at 1900.
What we don't know:
How many people will be attending.
Where it will be.
So, to help fill in the gaps, we have two things for you to do.
Firstly, if you are planning on showing up, please post below that you are planning on showing up. This will allow us to figure out how big a place we need to reserve. Also, if you are under drinking age, please let us know: If no under-21s are going to attend it makes selecting the location substantially easier, but we don't want to exclude you.
Secondly, if you have any suggestions on where to meet, please post below. These things go much more easily when there is a consensus from the group: It's your city, you know it better than we do. The one requirement is it's got to be quiet enough for the group to be able to hear each other, so no places with loud live rock bands next to the table. If you make a suggestion, please state if it is friendly for under-21s. (If you have a suggestion, but don't announce that you're going to show, we'll just assume you're being helpful but won't be there).
We'll come back to this thread in about a week and see what the final consensus is, then when the place is booked we'll place the confirmation on this thread.

This is on a Wednesday at 7:00. If you made this on a weekend, much more people would be able to attend from surrounding areas.

Unfortunately, that's when I'm in town.
We'll be there all night, though, unless you are a boring lot, so if you can't make it 'till 8, then show at 8.

That's only 2 1/2 hours from me and it would be great to meet some of you. I don't drive due to medication and will try to get someone to take me. He is interested in WoT as well but, neither one of us drink but, that's ok and we are well old enough to do so and that's not a problem where it may take place. Set the time and place and I'll try to be there.

I am interested in attending. I live in Indy (SE side) but unfortunately I don't get out much so I'm not much help with suggesting a place. Too busy playing WoT
I'll be a late arrival though..gotta take care of the pooch first after work.
For reference though, are you looking for a bar, restaurant, or other for a place? ..or does it matter as long as it's not too loud?

I am interested in attending. I am new to WOT, but I enjoy it alot! I would like to learn more about WOT, tactics, winning more, and clans. I hope I can get some advice.
Just a suggestion: One possible place to meet would be an Mcl Cafeteria.

It depends what side of town you guys are staying at, if this is an overnight at the airport, that's one thing, if you're going to be in town a couple days, totally another.

I know this doesn't contribute to the current topic, but I've been wondering if there has or ever be a community gathering somewhere in Washington state? I've been wanting to go to one of these for the longest time, but all of the locations are too far for me to travel at this point in time.

Coming to Indy in the month of May (Indy 500)... too bad it's not quite what it used to be, there won't be any action that early in the month anymore (cars not even at the track until the 13th).
As Yankee said, is your intention the Westside near the airport (since the event is in Crawfordsville)? Or somewhere downtown?
Gotta work so I can't be at the early event.
Would be neat to meet some of the people I shoot electronic shells at.
About a month ago, one of our clanmembers CaptIceman from Brazil (the South American country not the small town in Indiana) had to come to Indy for work and I met up with him at the airport. We had a nice chat just in the concourse for an hour or two before his flight to Portland.... of course airport parking is incredibly expensive since they built the Midfield Terminal.

Brazil the country in South America
gotta love all the "exotic" places in Indiana...
Brazil (not the country), Versallies (not the place in France), Warsaw (not Poland), Clermont (again not France), Berne (not Germany), Lima (not in Peru), Peru (not the country) Goshen (not the place in Egypt) and the dozens of small little towns that all got named for wherever the people who lived there immigrated from when Indiana was the frontier West.
What makes it even stranger is that sprinkled between these towns will be places with Native American Indian names.
