Cannot see teammates in a battle

Last night I had a tank company game with my clan friends. When we entered the game, we could not see any of our teammates.
They were all in the game, they could play, they could engage the enemy, but just cannot see teammates. Not from the screen or minimap. One guy actually committed a team kill because he could not see there's a teammate between him and his target.
BTW, the enemies lit up by teammates were not displayed in the minimap either.

Had it happen before must be a clitch in the system makes the game intresting though

It is not interesting if you are playing as an arty (as I did)
