Hey guys, I have had my T-28 for a little bit and have it Elieted all except for the KV. However i am experiencing an average of 89 exp per battle even though i get one or two kills almost every battle, at this rate it will take me weeks to unlock the KV! I don't think this is acceptable!

Maybe it's not because the exp rate is low, but that you are finishing off badly damaged tanks for a minimal amount of exp. Try damaging tanks that aren't near 5%. However, 89 exp on a win is ridiculous.

I know thats my problem! I'm killing and penetrating almost everything i hit! I have the 85 derp and the 57 and i'm having a very fun time with the tank, but i'm getting crap exp even on wins.

The T-28 isnt actually a bad tank. it does have crap armor but the top end 85mm is a great gun (can pen tier 6 and 7 tanks pretty easy) and once you grind through the engines to the top end one its also pretty mobile. Try this...wait about 2 mins into the match and see what develops. Move towards things you see that are vulnerable and take shots of opportunity, DONT sit and wait for the return gift as its going to hurt (remember the armor...lol) and use terrain to your advantage, pop in, pop out shoot and scoot tactics are effective with the T-28

Plenty of threads that explain how to play well with the T-28, read them and your play will improve.

This tank makes big damage, dont worry about kills and instead worry about hammering targets with the most health. If you can get two full daamge shots in instead of two 5% kills you will earn more. Despite having no armor this tank usually caries some of the best weaponry in any battle you get stuck in, even being able to hammer tier 7 heavies. So unless you are at the bottom of the list your team will need your gun for cracking the big baddies in the battle instead of playing the role of vulture and cleaning up.

This tank will also teach you about proper timing, range and use of cover. Get these wrong and you wont live to make the mistake again. It can be a very unforgiving tank yet extremely rewarding once you learn it inside and out. So have patience and keep a close eye on the battle, allies positions and enemy positions. Because there's nothing like being the underdog and still winning top gun and pulling your team out of the jaws of defeat.

P.S. For those new to the tank HE has better pen then AP in the stock gun.
