All i wanted to do was finish the German tech tree on my standard account, all i had left was to use the GW tiger to unlock the Type E.

Only after 37 games has this tank broken my rage so fast and by so much that i want to rip my own face off then play another match with it.

IF you get a team that can defend you, which seems to be rarer and rarer these days.  Its a good tank.  But that is one huge IF.

I find the main problem with defending arty is that if you stay back to do so and your team does well, you get nothing for it except for the win stat. You get  more XP and credits in an active loss doing a lot of damage than a win where you don't even take a shot...or just take a couple.

There should be some additional incentive to defend and more people would do it.

You dont have to stay back.  Thats not what I'm saying at all.  I just want a team that can hit something when a 50-2 comes screaming through hell bent on killing arty.  Defending arty is actually best done 100m+ away from arty so that arty isnt spotted and you dont have to worry about hitting your own.

I find that if I can see a Scout bee lining its way toward me, I can time my shor so it drives into the blast, but you need a team who can at least keep that scout on screen

I got the GWTiger about 10 days ago. The first dozen matches were actively painful. But then I got the better engine and tracks and it is just sorta painful. I now grinding for the big gun, when I expect this monster to shine, but in the meantime it is a tortuous beast ... slow, lethargic, weak and cranky. That, plus the fact that it seems to be a magnet for counterbattery and scouts, and it has been my least favorite arty, so far.
But then there's that big gun in the offing, with the ability to severyly damage T-10 heavies. I will be like Victoria, close my eyes and think of cannons, until the day comes when I can be there terror from above the Tiger was meant to be.

Off topic. But which gun is the top gun for the GwTiger? Is it the long muzzle brake gun or the short one? I thought the long one would be the top gun since generally long guns=better guns but I don't think so cause the GWtype E has the same looking gun

Like most of the t6 and t7 arty the short fat barrel is the big 210mm gun

I like the GW Tiger but have not had any wins in 5 battles in my Type E because the other 14 players on the feel the need to run off one way.

I have played every spg in this game with the exception of the S-51 and the GW-E. I have the OBJ261 and see no need to play the S-51. I have owned the GW-Tiger for a long time and still need close to 200k exp to get the Typ E unlocked....... I just cant handle playing the GW-POS for very many battles in  row. It just amazes how bad this thing is compaired to the other tier 7 SPG's.

Remember guys, the GW Tiger seems like a slow useless brick because you've came from two of the best arties in the game; Hummel with its 600~ HP engine and GW Panther with that awesome turret and fast turn rate. Give it time, get the last gun and all your hate will vanish as soon as you one shot a tier X ;-)

my advice is to be patient, yes the gw tiger is a big fat cow...once you get the 21 cent gun your kill rate will go up...that balanced out the painful fact that its a fat cow that's as big as a school bus. use high octane fuel for slightly better movement/turn rate...and for the love of god move after you shoot! grinding to the gw type e is like a pregnant woman going through a tough labor...hurts like hell but once its over and the gw type e is born the pain is quickly forgotten lol. just my 2 cents on the subject.

Hurts a lot right now, researched every module on the GWT. I need about 100k exp to get the Typ E. I've one shotted tier 9 meds, never done more than 75% hp on tier 10s. However, I still haven't managed to get a AP shot to the back of a full hp tier 10 yet, looking forward to it as I almost never use AP

Stick with it.  The GW Tiger isn't bad once fully upgraded.  The Type E is just awesome!  I love it so much.
