I am in LOVE with the STUGIII

Hi, guys.If somebody has read some of my posts, I usually complain how bad a tank is. Not THIS TIME!!!
After finally getting into TDs I jumped into it with the Hetzer...oh my god!!! Its still around 40% win or so...stopped using it once I got STUGIII researched and I LOVE this tank!!!
From the start I won majority of the games...and I even make some good hits when thrown into higher tier games.
This TD is a KEEPER in my garage. And the crew is not even at 100% yet.
Installed RAMMER, VENTS and CAMO. Cant wait to get all my guys in it to 100% and see the rest of the improvements.
Also it seems to make credits like my good old PZ4.
Question: Is the NEXT higher tier TD as good or even better????

Umm, you are talking about the Jagdpanzer IV. Search it and see how the community feels on that tank. Some like, most hate it.

I loved my StugIII until I reached the horrible, terrible, JagPzIV. I quit the german TD line after reaching that tier 6 TD

The next TD, the JagdPz IV (I have 119 Battles in it) ain't so bad. Small frame enables it to "Hulls Down" in a way that your Enemies will have some trouble sniping you at a distance. I actually like it more than my current Jagdpanther on another fact that I find it faster to relocate (Both having Tracks and max Engine on them). The Jagdpanther, to me, feels like a TD Heavy Tank, but then again, I have no right to say that since I have a T95 "Super Tank"....And the fact that the only thing I'm missing on the Jagdpanther is the 10,5 cm K 18 L/52 Gun/Cannon....
Then again, I love TDs....Heavies being my 2nd favorite Tank Type....
*Shrugs* To each, his/her own's opinion.

I'm with you on this! The Hetzer was jerky and hard to steer. I was always point in the wrong direction and seemed real easy to track it. I lost many a battle because I was tracked and couldn't get going, move, or shoot back. The Stug III, is a big improvement and like you have seen it in my win category. With the upgraded gun I can snipe which is better than the option with the Hetzer. I used the 10.5cm gun a few times with Hetzer but noticed it only put me in higher tier matches and was slower to reload. Reading up on the Stug III (the real ones) they were supposed to be for infantry support but found a calling as TD with the 75mm gun. Just think if they had infantry in this game with bazooka's and Panzerfaust's. Oh, the crying about how the little guy blew up my tank would never end. Well, back to Stug III, I enjoy it and like you, it will have a permanent spot in my garage.

Is this a trick question? No, the JagdPz IV is not as good. Most hate it, some like it, nobody says it is great. I kept my Marder, sold my Hetzer, kept my Stug, sold my JagdPzIV, plan to keep my JagdPanther, and plan to keep a Ferdi someday. That'll be enough TDs in my garage, I think. Do not miss the Hetzer and JagdPzIV one bit. IMO, neither one was all that bad but were not even close to being worth keeping. Don't fear it as being a horrible grind because it's not all that bad and is kind of a good learning experience because you need to know exactly where to aim anyway.

The 105/L52 is what makes the JagdPanther so special. I don't even care how many t8-t10 are in the game with it because it will do damage unless you are trying to pen the front turret of an American tank. It's definitely not as nimble as the JagdPanzer or Stug but it's still fun to drive and very good at peeking in and out of cover with the sickenly fast 1.7sec aim time.
And I still have a special place in my heart for the Hetzer a lot more than the Stug. The MM is very kind to the Hetzer and when you strap on the 105/L28 with HE shells...omg it's soo much fun getting in the face of people and one shotting a lot of t4 and lower tanks.
