Nothing in this game pisses me off more then a teammate getting me killed. whether its blocking your retreat or team kills. So I have a new one to add to my list. Parking behind a stealthed td. You basically can be seen by the enemy and there rounds will hit the hidden td in front of you. Its a noobish move and costs your team a tank. Like always I bring a photo. :(
Oh yeah here is the rules quoted from wot wiki:No camouflage bonus is provided by:
Fallen trees
Player tanks (dead or alive)
Grass
Camouflage patterns you can buy in game for gold or rent for credits
Anything else

clearly he thought he was in cover, when in actuality he was completely exposed. since he was behind me all the shots that were meant for him hit me instead.

Last night I was in a map with my Hetzer on Komarin. I was camping in bushes near the houses by their base. This kid or a un-nice player comes up with his M8A1 and starts destroying all the fences, knocking over all trees, grinding on me, and Running though all the buildings near me. he did this for over 3 minutes. At some point you should be aloud to kill someone when they are drawing fire on you on purpose.

Just to emphasize one of your other points, "Don't block another player's line of retreat."

El Halluf is the worst map for this: If a sniping area is full, either move on or stand well back and off to the side.

This has happened to me before. Sitting in my lowrider TD and hearing gunfire right next to me... Look up and see someone who should know better sitting hulldown behind me. That's when I turn tracks and relocate.

As a caveat, I don't mind if I am sniping a chokepoint from behind solid cover and the only other good way to shoot is over me.

Too bad shaming isn't allowed. Sometimes I think people need a bit of shame heaped on them to try to get them to stop doing this stupid $h!t.

My favorite tactic is still the premium tank that sits at the spawn unmoved for the whole match that suddenly springs to life when the enemy finally makes it to the base to cap. Just absolutely brings my blood to a boil.

In a LONG-ago game, I was in my SPG (either SU-8 or -14) on the west side of El Halluf. I had parked in a courtyard on the back side of the town. I like the spot because of the anti-scout vision cover provided by all of the buildings.

There was a knucklehead parking by me for a minute or so, "guarding" arty. I finally chased him off (I thought). For several minutes, I support my team, blasting things left and right. I see that some enemies are about to come into our base so I pop out of God-mode to relocate to see that the aforementioned knucklehead had spent the battle driving over EVERY destructable in town... I laugh now, but I was hacked...  :Smile-izmena:

I can't remember if we won or not, but I still shake my head.

Knock down/blow up enemy buildings (their cover), keep your enemy buildings (your cover)

EDIT: Just realized I sound as if I thought someone hacked my account or something. Not so. I was hacked off - as in PO'd...

Wouldn't help. Many of those folks don't come here until someone pwns them so hard they have to complain about MM, invisitanks, n00bs, or some other nonsense. Those who do would love the attention...  <_<

Well, from the picture you are parked just behind the bush meaning that when you shoot you will be spotted anyway.  I still agree with your principle but in this situation he didnt do anything that bad.

Damn, you're probably right. Ok, how about an in game nomination system? Sorta like the TK/TD tracking system, a way to vote a player into an in game "wall of shame"? It would be great, and surely never abused.

When these collisions happen early in the map they often prevent a teammate from getting a leveraged forward position, setting your team up for a steamroll.

actually my barrel isnt coming through the bush so my camo is still valid

The barrel doesn't really make a difference so long as the half-way point isn't sticking out there.

Regardless, unless you are 15 feet back, you will unmask as soon as you fire. Of course, this means that you will likely not be able to see through the bush but will rather have to rely on a forward passive scout.

It's 15 meters, not feeet. That would be almost 50 feet.

This seems like a good spot to put this. I've been meaning to do a thread on this, as I see it many times. I even get arguements about it. But in the picture below, the bush is providing exactly zero camo. It isn't hiding anything.

I don't know why I get arguements about this. I try to tell them, behind the bush, not in it. The bush has to hide several points of your tank, bottom, top, corners and gun. If any of those are sticking out, the games spot checks will light you up.

Don't know what I was thinking... 15 meters is the number.
