The game started with 7 tanks on my side and 8 on their side. Sure, it was interesting, but not what we expected. Made for a wierd Pub match....

You got screwed over because the high tier arties were sitting in the MM pool for over a minute, the system "panics" and creates a game of "leftover" tanks

To be true... i've never been in one of those battles...

Legion hit it... only happens to high tier arty... usually during low population times.  I have been in a 3 vs 3 match before.  Sucks during the double xp game.

It can happen with tier 10 heavies too if there aren't enough tanks that can match them. It happened a lot early on but it's become pretty rare with tier 8 continually expanding since almost all of those tanks can match them. Still, it is possible if enough tier 5-8 matches keep going and keep the tier 8's out of the pool for the tier 10s to match against. (Tier 5 is the only tier played more than tier 8, and they can match each other.)
