It in all the tank companies players want this tank really badly. I have been working up to and I was wondering how good it is. Another thing I would like to know is how far the gun can go from one side to another without having to turn the tank. I really want this spy but I was wondering but people's opinions were on it. Good luck and have fun tanking

I loved mine. You get excellent range, pretty good acc., and decent alpha and DPS. All combined into the smallest package possible.
In other words, get it now.

The hummel is the first step into really good arty in my opinion.
The grille is a big step up from the previous arty.
If you like playing arty, get one.

I loved my grille, it can reach across most maps and easily kills tier 8s with its top guns huge damage, and leads to the almighty hummel

Concur. The Grille was the first arty I played that began to feel like I was doing some real damage and had real reach....

the grille is excellent arty for its tier. small package, big punch, quick reload if you get the shell rammer. the hummel is god's gift to man.

T4 SPGs;
German : Grille (woot!)
USA : Priest (wut?)
Soviet : SU-5 (dafaq??)
While Grille is a decent SPG, there's really no other contender in this area.

the Grille is an excellent lead-off to the much-celebrated Hummel.
both have decent all-round stats- able to smash higher tiers, while having the reload to keep on doing it.
gun traverse kinda stinks, but at ranges of 5-700, that still lets you cover an entire flank.
for good traverse, SU26 or the GWP with its MASSIVE traverse i can put one edge along my flank, and still hit stuff midway across the other side. grille, hummel, GWP are all good SPGs.
you should have rammer mounted, try to transfer your crew- if you have the gold get your loaders, commander, and gunner to 100%, preferably the whole crew, but those are the priorities.

I have my Grille elited. I've been using accelerated training to try and get my first skill to 100% to get BIA. You think I should keep doing accelerated training or go ahead and get the Hummel now and transfer my crew (which should be at 100% as no XP is allocated yet)?

I don't really like arty, but have been thinking of getting one to help my clan in med TC's but does it make any money?

I have a hummel, almost got my gw and I still use my grille pretty consistently. Its just a really great piece of arty, and makes lots of money. The amount of degrees in movement are a bit lacking, but I'm not expecting much of it since it's such low tier. It's great, I love it and I'm pretty sure you will too (if you enjoy arty).

I will defer from the majority, I'm afraid. I disliked Grille. The horizontal gun traverse angle is so small, that you have to turn the whole thing very often, by which you mess up your aim circle, as well as camouflage. The loading and aiming time are very long, even with rammer and gun laying drive. It has long range, and when it hits a target, it hits hard, that's true, but it is difficult to hit one (esp. a moving one).
But I did have some great successes with it, mind you.
Nonetheless I preferred SU-5. Shorter range, maybe smaller damage, but more fun. When I check their stats, though, they are very similar. In both cases I elited them in 100 battles (compared to 150 battles with Priest).
I don't know about financial rewards, I didn't care about that.
But Hummel is definitely worth Grilling!
